The 85 Bears played in the worst division in football that year. The Buccaneers, Packers and Lions, are you kidding me???? The Vikings were their only competition, and they should have beaten the Bears on Monday night. The Dolphins picked apart that so called great Bears defense by matching up therir fast receivers on the no-covering bears defenders like Gary Fencik and Mike Singletary. The 85 Bears were overrated.

I remember this game so well, they made the cover of SIs next issue (a big deal back then) and then lost to Miami on that fateful Monday night two weeks later. So thankful for youtube to be able to re-live it. As for that glorious '85 season, John Robinson, the Rams coach at the time, nailed it as far as dealing with the Bears that year. He said the key was to try to "not let them get started". So true but good luck slowing down that freight train.

In fact after the Bears roughted Dallas and went to 11-0 they were beaten by the Miami Dolphins the following week on Monday Night Football which would be their only defeat of the 1985 season en route to their becoming eventual Super Bowl champions for 1985 when they destoyed the New England Patriots 46-10 in Super Bowl 20.

Although my confidence was always high when my beloved Cowboys would take the field, I remember this game I had a sick feeling we were gonna get a beatdown and boy, did we ever!!!
