85mm is really underappreciated for street photography. I love shooting 28mm as well, but being able to step a bit back from the scene offers some unique opportunities: isolating the subject more, being less of a disturbance to the scene, and more freedom to play with depth of field immediately come to mind. When I was in Asakusa on vacation a few weeks ago I actually played around a bit with the 50-140 so I kind of took the idea to the extreme! Another place idea I found to be a fun challenge was taking an ultrawide zoom (10-24 f4) to the western part of Shinjuku around the Metropolitan Government and other nearby sky scrapers. It was a very sunny afternoon so their was a wonderful contrast between light and shadow. Plus, it was a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't too busy, so it presented a great opportunity to isolate people along the broad avenues and walkways among these massive buildings. Of course the area is also wonderful for more of an architecture focus as well!

I actually got started with street photography with an 85 mm, so it’s always been one of my favorite focal lengths and where I feel most comfortable. It’s especially nice in Asakusa so that I don’t have to walk write up inside the Izakaya to isolate people and get shots 😅 And yeah, Shinjuku has a lot of nice architecture for ultra-wide stuff. I don’t have anything wider than 28 mm at the moment, but even that is fun for doing some architectural street shooting. Have a nice weekend :)

Love the Sacred Elephant Counseling Room!! Colors are so vibrant it seems almost a waste to go to B&W. I've often used the 56mm at night and find it satisfying. And there were so many shots I would have made that you didn't!!! Sort of frustrating, but different visions, I guess. Overall, well done video; I enjoyed it.

My personal favorite Fuji lenses are the 23 1.4 and 33 1.4. Can’t go wrong with either one. Hope you get your XT2 soon 😁

Thank you! It was a combination of holding it as steady as I could and adding some stabilization in post with Final Cut Pro ☺️

Until what ISO is the Fuji XT 5 usable, without the noise being very evident? And how is its focus in low light...

Well, it’s subjective, but I find that I’m happy using it up to ISO 6400. I might be able to push it a bit more, but I’ve never felt a need to yet. AF in low light is fine, though tracking moving subjects may be hit or miss depending on the lighting. Overall, I’m satisfied with it though.

Look at some classic artistic shots throughout history. They’re all 10x more grainy than our cameras. If you expose properly, noise is a non issue.

It works well enough for my needs. The only real could complaint I have is that it's a bit noisy, so it's not ideal for video.

Sadly anything above 3200 is bad compared to a T2, 3 or 4. AF-C is still too sluggish for a 1700 bucks camera. Hoping for the X-T6 to replace my T2. For AF-S you don’t need a new cam. Frankly for AF-C you don’t need either.
