This was my best track day at Laguna Seca so far! Not only did I improve and learn new things throughout the day, but I could keep shaving off time and reach a new PB in the last session. Finally, I got a new PB after the re-pavement on the dry surface. Before this, my PB in the Miata ND was ~6 seconds slower ( • Miata ND2 RF Laguna Se... ). (⊙ˍ⊙)
This season's 86 Challenge is increasingly popular and competitive. We get to meet with new friends, slide around on the track together, and cheer for each other's new learnings + achievements.
A squirrel was crossing the track at 0:52. I'm so glad it made it...
Here are a few lessons and thoughts from the day:
1. Data is powerful. Learning from faster drivers' data can even happen between sessions. Breaking down into small milestones and focusing on a couple in the following sessions.
2. Channeling your inner capybara. Be mindful and patient with inputs. When you feel that everything starts to move slowly around you and you get more control, the PB is probably on the way.
3. Girls can send it pretty hard too. Hope more ladies join the time trial events. (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧
