looks good man.. i restored an 82 shortbed stepside. frame restoration, all new old stock gm sheet metal, sbc 350, roller cam, big port vortec heads, 650 cfm holly truck avenger carb. 10 bolts with 4.56 gears, lifted 6 inchs with brand new 36" dick cepek fun country tires. (the old ones)... has a turbo 350 in it now but im putin a 700r4 in soon for overdrive.

@jawatech unless it has the peanut port heads....with the cam he has, and the exhaust it's not at all hard to get that power..if not more. a stock big block open or closed chamber head can do that power he claims. even the proper "aftermarket" valves can get you a good 20 horsepower

Really? 500hp? got dyno sheets? I find that very hard to believe, you should take the chrome moldings off it'll look so much better! anyway dyno sheets would be awesome!

@jasonbc69 I know its possible. It just bothers me when people throw out numbers based off of speculation. Don't get me wrong its a really nice truck and it sounds great. I just like to have a dyno sheet before I start throwing around estimates. I hope my 79 Scottsdale looks this good some day.

beautiful truck. but... it's no 500 hp. unless that is the ls6 454 out of a chevelle. if not. that is a truck 454 and the only way you would even come close to 500 hp with stock cast iron truck heads is if you did a massive port and polish job and 10.00:1 compression pistons and a cam that has over .500 of lift. if you can prove me wrong let me see the dyno sheet and build list of the motor.
