Thanks man, truly a Classic and Great Rock Song of the 80's, which was really a great era - musically. I'm a Huge fan of the Magical Late 60's and 70's era, and blessed to experience some the greatest bands ever - Emerson, Lake and Palmer in 1974, Brain Salad Surgery Tour, Live Quad, appreciate you sharing your knowledge and skills with us. Keep up the great work!!
Fantastic! Just found your Channel. Whenever I've been in cover bands, I've always tried to make everything as accurate as possible. It's even easier today given the amount of footage of practically every band. Although I understand that 99% of people in any given show/concert won't pick up on the nuances, I do it for myself and maybe the ONE "guitar guy" out there. I'm just not a big fan of renditions/interpretations/alternate tunings/etc. when I go out to see a cover band. As for this song, I definitely picked up a few things. Thank you.
You love the same music that I grew up on and love. Played this song many times in the clubs. My first songs were Gimme Three steps, Tom Petty and the heartbreakers Breakdown. Very easy song. Hot rails to Hell BOC etc.
Great video, I didn't know all of those intricate parts. Also, I always thought that the solo was just played through a basic flanger, the roto sound is more accurate as you've played it.
Hi I just discovered your channel. Very good lessons, thank you. 2 song requests, please :) Time After Time - Cyndi Lauper Love Shack - B-52's If you can make them upper-beginner-level friendly, that would be a grateful bonus :)
@@artackerman2744 ok gotcha - that is the original mtv performance style video is probably what you are referencing. Good clue and you may be right. But I've been burned MANY times relying on what an artist is playing in a video as what is on the record, very often it's different. but for sure it all sounds fender-y for sure
