889 Resto Shaman Artifact Solo Challenge Guide Detailed 

Godly guide, followed it to the letter and just finished on my 894 shaman in healing offspec (dps legendaries and 840 life relics etc). Thanks alot man, couldn't stop screaming when I killed it :D

Mad props you absolute madman. What you did is absolutely crazy. People and myself included struggled at even 930, but to finish it at that ilvl with only one legendary is fucking crazy. Mad props.

Thank you! I had put in around 80 - 90 attempts before finding this guide. I beat the challenge within a few attempts after. The CD usage and drums tip for the finals phase was exactly what I needed. I'm not sure if you were running Ancestral Guidance, but after a 1% wipe one tweak I made was using AG when healing the second wave of adds (in the last phase) instead of Transcendence. AG comes up near the end of the encounter and trivializes the final moments.

I did it thanks to your video! I am 933, played my shaman for 12 years and I am ashamed that I had a hard time with it XD But anyway, it is done! I can breath now. I got to the last phase 3 times, and once you get there, well everything before that is ezpz. I have some tips for any that is still trying this: 1st phase - always target the mage, you'll know which one will pop next by doing it multiple times and interrupt his cast with Wind Shear or your totem when you can. I kept the totem to also stun the warriors when they were all near each other. Don't use Healing Surge too much in the beginning, you will run out of mana at the end and probably fail. 2nd phase (middle part) with the mobs, its easy, kill them one by one, try not to kill them in a one shot because you have to heal yourself in between. The 3 dudes you have to top and the one that need to be dispelled, when you're opening the gate, target the dispel guy, and dispel right after the gate open. Then target one of the npc to top off and start chain heal a few time, then healing surge them. Then the mobs you have to kill same, one at a time, it's not supposed to take all of your timer, it's pretty easy. Then, take a break as long as you want (at the last gate when your party is back), go pee (lol me everytime). The phase before last is not that bad, I dropped Healing Rain down on my party with some Riptide and Healing stream. Then for the 3 npc to heal, pop BL/Hero (make sure to do it when they start coming out, because you will waste seconds of it), heal the fuck out of them with Healing surge and it will be quick (about 2 HS) second phase you can use Ascendance, on my last try I didn't, the BL was still up, and then the 3rd you should only need to heal 2 of them, again Healing surge and in between that, DON'T FORGET YOUR PARTY, Healing Rain help a lot try to keep it down on them with Healing Stream totem. So if you don't have ads, well the last phase start immediately, I was shocked because I didn't expect that, if you get an ad or more, well it take a little more time before it start so you can drink, so when the fight started and I was kinda low I was like oh fuck... so I had to pop a mana pot. I was fine. I did use the drum trick on my party to help them, it went fine but something I learned from the last try I was at the end and I failed at like 5%, if you can do a little dps on the boss, do it!! Flame Shock-Lava Burst it 1-2 times, it can make a BIG difference. I did die at the end, and was lucky enough for my party to finish him. Because at the end, the floor is covered in green stuff so I think that you have to at least pop a few lava burst just to get that little kick for the end. And don't forget the debuff, move on the green stuff a bit to get low. The debuff will not hit you, only your party so it doesn't matter if you're very low. Do the around the edge of the room trick and you'll be fine. Hope these tips help anyone! I had fun (lol), now I am going to try on a Feral Druid because I like the cat form you get, I am only 904, hope I'll get it!

Nicely done! I too had alot of fun doing at as a resto shaman, and I thought I was undergeared with 894 lol. It's kinda sad though that when tomb of sargeras hits, people will be able to rush through this with ease. Nonetheless very nice explanations on cooldown usages, it helped me alot!

This. This is the best thing. Resto shaman was the last tower I needed and my god it was ridiculously hard compared to the other healers. I could not have done it without this and my shaman was 935...

just got it with your help lad!! thnx for the help :) one little difference... actually a prety big one... i used clouburst totem and 2 set piece!!! worked better for me...also for those who strugle with the dmg on the dps phase and to make your life easier use legs and pryndaz and i used a mark of the hidden satyr enchant (i use the neck for enhancment) and it was a gr8 addition

because of this video alone... accept my sub. my Shammy is 920, i haven't attempted it yet, but now i've seen your video, i will try it this weekend.

Finally done on Resto shaman. Ghost healing stage was by far the easiest of Priest/Pally/Resto especially with heroism legendary and proper talents. Stage 1 is harder since you can't CC the archer like you can with Priest or Pally. You just have to heal through it. I 2 shot it (after the combined 50+ tries on Priest and Pally) but the run was so bad and messy. I almost let a ghost die because my Cleanse on the feared one didn't work (not macroed properly). Luckily you can heal from outside of the patrol range. I died to the orbs! They just respawn too fast and even if you're at the gate an orb can hit you. Thank fk for reincarnate. I oomed majorly in the final stage and Jarrod was on 1% hp. I died here (prudently waited for reincarnate to come back up before starting) and never felt in control like on Priest/Pally. Completely forgot about cooldowns but when I was on the last safe spot with no mana I hit drums just in time and they just killed him after I died a second time. woooo!

On the last boss he likes to jump on you just as the debuff explodes u can stun the boss just as the debuff expires think not a lot of ppl know that u can stun the boss GL boiz

By far the best guide out there, although the challenge being pretty easy compared to rest of the classes/specs, it is still very impressive that you could complete it with that gear and traits. Well done mate. Any other classes you planning on doing?

I was able to complete my challenge with 870ilvl using this exact guide, it did take me over 50 tries because of mana usage but very fun overall

If you over-gear it everything after 910 pretty much: You can do it faster and only use hero/BL at the last boss! That way you get faster tries^^

This challenge is so frustrating. Im at iLevel 952 and on first phase the commander still gets killed on the second wave sometimes before I my even manage to finish casting healing surge...

Could be wrong here, but don't resto shamans have hex? the way i tackled it on my holy paladin, was i repentanced each mana sting unless the timers were out and i couldn't, then i let the tank take it or i bubbled it off, i also saved my stun for the mage when he had 3 stacks of the buff and was casting the 4th, this guaranteed he would be dead without being able to rebuild his stacks up again. Saved me alot of healing doing it this way, just remember to not Hex the mage as your peasants will go off and attack something else and we don't want that. Hope i'm not just rambling and someone can benefit from this :)

889 shaman crit heals for 1-1.6m+ and 900+ MW monk crit heals for max 800k well balanced.

I feel so uselss. I am 936 ilvl and managed to finish stage 1 only three times out of about 30 tries and still failed miserably later on those three times :(

I don't understand... I've watched sooo many guides and no one seems to have a super hard time at the start. I'm 947 and I can't past the second wave (with the mage and mana string bitch.) I usually mange to purge or kick the mage before the buffs do much, but if I am I'm doing anything other than hard spamming healing surge on pretty much the entire group they die. I just cannot do enough healing fast enough and I don't understand why
