My 1989 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado's interior is filthy. So, in this video, I remove the seat and carpet in preparation for a deep clean. #k1500 #c1500 #obstruckbuild
Man… you have no idea how lucky you are that those torx bolts holding down the seatbelts came out that easy, I’ve used an impact drill, lube, hammer and chisel to get rust off, heat gun… I’ve been working on the driver side bolt all day and it won’t budge… hasn’t been out in 34 years so I knew it would be tough but damn. Glad you got yours out easily!
That is a beautiful truck. That rust isn't too bad. I had a 92 Cheyenne with a hole in the drivers side floor pan and my window crank fell through it once haha
Awesome video, man. I have an 89 C1500 that I am working on right now. I kept trying to find pictures and videos of the original carpet, because mine is grey just like that. I kept thinking there was no way it was actually that faded! But lo and behold, that blue underneath looks great!
The heater.box has a moisture drain in it and they get plugged. This causes the water to leak down the fire wall under the hvac box. Take the blower motor off and Vacuum the inside off the heater making sure you clear the drain. I live in canada and I do it once a year
Hey maq, I have a 90 silverado. I started the truck with frost on the windshield and the wipers were on so the driver's side stopped working something popped. Can you give me any instructions on how to repair it or how I can get the grille off where the wipers studs comes through the grille.thanks love your videos and i also like how "detailed" you are in your repairs.thanks again!.
Hi Mack, check out the video linked below (if you have not already) I believe I remove everything you need to remove to fix your problem. At least it will show you how to get to it to see what is wrong. Let me know how it goes. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WJxpsTZzoOc.html
@@MaqsVids man thats not a bad truck at all but you and my dad are alike he just bought one and i want to help him bring it back and he just wants to skip steps 😂
Hello Maq, I have a '89 Chevy K1500 as well. Have you ever had a problem with your emergency brake dash light staying on continuously? I would definitely put new carpet and padding back in!
I finally found me a storage box in the junkyard today. I got the box, the tool tray, the lid, and the wing nut but I couldn’t get the stud removed. Did you unscrew your stud by the wing nut?
My 1990 gmc c 1500 had rust on the drivers side, under the long wire tray that is next to the rubber seal and the seat, I am not an expert on metal fabrication so I cleans it up and used fiberglass for the repair. Great video. One more thing I don’t know how you can make videos and make them look so good, I can do the work but filming and working at the same time will drive me nuts. What is the secret? So I can film something. Thank you.
Thank man. I got you with the videos fam. I'll make a video showing you my whole setup from how I get the shots to what I use for editing. Give me a few days.
I hope this helps. I use simple and cheap stuff. See the link below. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jTncWFWso4g.html I made a quick video showing what I use. I didn't do any car stuff so I put it on my other channel. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm all for more people making car videos.
damn...we are in the same boat. I'm pretty sure mine had something to do with the heater core tubes. The next video will be coming out soon. I'm working on it now
I think I did. It was related to the heater core. It seems like mine was a heater core leak or where the hoses connect to the heater core. I show what I found in this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-70tsqItZqtU.html
@@MaqsVids interesting, I have a 1989 Silverado Step-Side and it’s lowered at the front which I hate so I’m trying to lift it. But not sure what the right height seems right for me. I like yours. Must be standard height
I have had an 89 GMC Sierra SLE since it was new and I always kept it maintained. There are many things to learn about some of the quirks that can go on with them I'm one of your best resources when you run into a problem is to look on RU-vid at some of the people who have owned them and dealt with them, but overall you are doing the right thing because the more you keep it maintained and cleaned the longer it will last you and regardless of what some people say they are still much easier to work on the newer ones. Here is a link that probably would've helped you at the time you were working on it, but may help you in the future; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VynpDqay_Eg.html
