In this 8K hdr video of Switzerland, we present the beautiful villages of Appenzell and Wasserauen, situated in the Canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden (the smallest Swiss canton), which lies in a beautiful breathtaking landscape of rolling hills. These regions can be reached from Zurich city by car drive (1 hr) as well as train ride (1 hr 45 mins). All regions shown in this video lie within 5 km range. The shots were recorded on three different dates - May 14, May 20 and May 26, 2022.
Appenzell is well-known for its brightly coloured buildings with painted facades. With about 7,000 inhabitants, Appenzell is the political, economic and cultural center of Appenzell Innerrhoden. This car-free village beckons with pretty lanes and a myriad of small stores and boutiques that are ideal for shopping and browsing. The region is known for rural customs and traditions such as the ceremonial descent of the cattle in autumn and cultural events such as folk music and rustic dances, as well as hiking tours in the Alpstein region. Not to mention, Switzerland's tastiest cheese comes to life in this idyllic Alpine region, the Appenzellerland.
