Liam bringing out the Razer green tshirt for this video, gotta love it 🔥 Awesome review and explanation about the system settings and the curve! I’ve seen reports about Apex & Discord which is interesting! Looking forward to a cheaper RVM
Disabling C-states worked for my 3900x on Windows 11, I am able to run any game at 8000Hz. Only games that don't run well are those using the Unreal 4 engine and it will run on them but the sensitivity is lower than normal and thats just do to UT4 being UT4. Elden Ring runs awesome on 4k but to run 8K I needed to use the FPS unlocker mod wich makes it so you cant go online but honestly on that game 4k is just fine since its not like an FPS game. Also disabling HPET is a must and even on 1000Hz makes a difference and its extremely easy to do. It is funny though that some games I couldn't run at 4k are now running fine even on 8k after disabling C-states and HPET but if after those if you run into a rare instance of it not working then its most likely the engine the game is using, but its rare. I hope your channel blows up man, its really good and I think you will get a ton of followers over time.
@@AimAdapt nice, hope it worked for you. I don't mind if you give me credit but you don't have to. another thing you might want to try not just for the mouse stability but for game stability overall is disabling Core Isolation as its a known offender now days for causing stuttering issues in some games and I disabled it too. Just go to search and type core isolation and it will pop up with some tickers you can select to disable. I have HPET disabled, Core isolation and C states. Sometimes Game mode and Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduler can cause some systems issues and others it helps so its always good to play around and see but on my system I have them both enabled but its worth mentioning.
Hey brother, loved the video. I had the same mouse wheel issue. I think others probably have a better fingertip grip than us because it was extremely hard for me to move as well. My solution was a thin strip of pulsar super grip. Fit right on and now totally useable.
I think my CPU isn't capable of the 8k wireless. From what I can see Overwatch should work, but when I have tried my system runs like trash. I think I may have to upgrade to AM5 at the end of the year. I still really enjoy my viper mini se, haven't used anything else in a few months. Build quality has held up from heavy use!
Man I cant believe I forgot to put that in the video. I had it written down and forgot. You have to charge it every day with heavy use. I was on all day and it was down to 30% from a full charge in the morning.
@@AimAdapt No problem. It also happen to me to forget to speak about some features/specs. The review was very complete. 👍Thanks for the information. 🙂
I am pretty sure its noticable to all apex legends players with smooth aiming as it already noticeable between 500 and 1 k the mouse is smoother and the recoil is like canceling itself on smooth aim
8k polling is amazing on the SE, for those having issues with 8k on games like Apex try disabling the C-States. SE is officially my main now even over the Razer 4K mod on the SL. Quick charging is a huge QoL improvement and after some use the mouse wheel tension is now perfect. 8k polling is definitely noticeable vs 4k everything feels just ever so slightly smoother. Razer really made the perfect mouse, if 8k polling was released at launch it would of been no contest. Now that it’s here, it’s hard not to recommend the SE unless of course you are on a budget. In that case just wait for the plastic version!
@@AimAdapt Might be worth swapping to the 5800X3D, as long as you don't do any productivity, you'll 100% see improvements. I have no issues on the 5800X3D, on top of that you'd probably make a bit of money back from swapping from the 5950X!
@@JtwasLuck The reason I never swapped over is because I spend 90% of my time editing videos and I even do vfx :( I actually finally got it fixed though thanks to elitemav. Disabling my HPTE fixed the issue :) Ill probably do a video on it.
@@JtwasLuck Quick question for you. What DPI do you game at and have you tested Apex Legends with 8k? I thought I fixed the issue but on some maps @3200dpi 8K I am getting frame drops. It seemed to fix the issue in some cases but not all apparently. Just want to make sure before I try and buy it.
I cant even play at 4KHz CS:GO with Discord chat and FACEIT AC without stutters on 5800x3D+RTX 4090@QHD@270Hz. When I saw from pyurologie how many FPS 4K eats up I decided to revert back to trusty 500Hz. I prefer to play smoother game rather than smoother tracking.
I don't think my setup is good enough to see a difference with 8khz. I have a fairly unique setup, I sit on my couch and game on my 65" LG OLED. The input latency and pixel response times are insanely low on the OLED, so it's great for gaming, it's also GSync compatible, but it's only 4k120hz, so I don't think my refresh rate is high enough to notice a difference. I can tell a difference between 1khz and 2khz, but not between 2khz and 4khz. I guess that's good for the battery life of my poor HTX lol. If LG or Samsung ever drops an OLED screen with higher refresh rate I think I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. That said, I don't really need much higher of a refresh rate, as at 4k in Destiny 2 with my settings I only get between 150-170 fps. That's basically the only game I play, so going much higher on refresh wouldn't help out a ton.
Hello! I was wondering what you would compare this mouse's shape to? (Of course other than the viper mini, perhaps maybe similar to the lamzu atlantis mini?)
