This time-lapse is one I have processed before. As an experiment to see how RU-vid would handle it, I redid the processing with no color grading at all (although I did select the "Adobe Landscape" color profile while importing the NEFs). The only thing I did was increase the "shadow" slider to bring up the vegetation foreground, and I also changed the exposure until the scopes showed 1000 nits max.
The stills were originally captured in 14-bit RAW, with 1s interval and base ISO 64. Additional processing was done in 32bit float color with the DE:Flicker plugin in After Effects to remove time-lapse flicker (30 frame window). And finally exported to Premiere Pro in ProRes 4444 XQ PQ (12 bit) for the lumetri effects. Exported to the final form, also in ProRes 4444 XQ PQ and uploaded to RU-vid. The RU-vid processing took a couple of days, and I published as soon as the AV1 encode was available.
Note: The best RU-vid encode (7680x4320 60fps 10 bit HDR AV1) is encoded at 64Mbps.

It would take a lot to do, but it would be cool if you did a full day and nights length one. Would be neat to have as a wallpaper or similar, set to the roughly same time if setup by the user properly. Also, nice video. Very nice for testing with this tv I have. It can't do 4k at 12bit sadly, not 4:4:4 that is. But it can do it at 1080p. Otherwise it's DCI 4K at 10bit max for 4:4:4 if memory serves me. 4:2:2 for 12bit, but... I might need better cables. Seems to be some issues at times...

That would be almost 700 GB as an AV1 file

Thanks. RU-vid has come a long way in just the past year, I am amazed at how much better quality the streaming is. Maybe it is just the AV1, but I would swear that even the VP9 streams are so much better.

Just 64 Mbit/s for 8k70 hdr, that's pretty impressive, and shows how efficient the AV1 codec is. I wonder if 12 bit or higher makes any sense on AV1 videos

The 12 bit and the 444 doesn't make any sense right now, but who knows, maybe oneday when bandwidth is even cheaper, and the video formats better, it will be re-encoded.

@@VV-sj4lr your device needs to be able to decode an AV1 8K60 HDR stream. Check the stats for nerds. Not all 8K TVs have the ability.

Cool. Then you would be technical enough to use a RU-vid API to list all the available streams for the above URL, and confirm that, sadly, your devices are not able to handle the av01.0.17M.10 stream.
