I'm not sure if your transmitter has mixing capabilities, but that could cause your rudder issue if it was accidentally activated. Edit- just noticed you fixed it with the capacitor. Good job!!

That didn't look bad at all (besides wigly servo off course). Bit difficult to go flat out this way but this was just the first real test so nothing to worry about. I would call it a succesfull test.

Hey Big B just on your prop choice you might be right about your top speed worries although 65 mph on the park pond is pretty awesome. Here’s what I do to get me in the ball park a 4714 2blade is 47x1.4 this equals 65.8 mm total pitch then I multiply this by the kv of the motor multiply by the volts, it don’t mater what way around so 1350 kv x 29.6 volts equals 39960 revolutions per minute x 65.8 total pitch which gives 2.629,368 about 2 million 630 thousand millimeters of distance per minute. Or 2.6 km per minute or 156 kmh minus the losses I don’t care about the speed number just the 2.63 million number. I use this number to get my prop close say I’m using a 3000 kv motor on 4 s with a h5 abc prop it’s 3000 x14.8 x 45x1.5 so so 2.997,000 So you can see the number is higher so it should be faster if it don’t power cut well this boat is a 26inch rigger and it is faster at 71 mph and it don’t power cut because riggers are more efficient. My 8s rigger using a abc 1817 prop and 1650 kv numbers are 1817 is 1.8 inches so 1.8 x25.4=45.72 mm x 1.7 mm pitch = 77.724 mm total pitch x29.6 volts x1650 kv = (48840rpm) 77.724x48840=3,796,040 such a big number 796,000 more than the 71 mph rigger but this rigger does 94 mph no Power cuts and using a ZTW 200 amp esc even though riggers are different to monos you use your numbers that you get with your monos to know if your pushing it further with your kv/ volts/ prop calcs. I have a lot of these numbers for my riggers to go to to get close every time I run a different kv or voltage. Of course it’s rough and cleavers prop are slightly different etc but it’s a ball park thing. So 1350 kv on 8s is 39960 revs this divided by 22.2 gives 1800 kv on 6 s so you know your in the ball park with a similar prop to what a 1800 kv 6s mono runs although 8s is heavier but lower kv motors have more torque. Anyway just my thoughts to hopefully help in some way.

Big b, esc receiver wires too close to motor causing interference. Run wires as far away from motor as possible, ideally shielded by cf or something. Can’t run your rx wire under or near motor like that

Twice I've left a message and twice it has been deleted. I did use the name for the huge website that sells all sorts of stuff in my post so I won't mention the 'bay... I also mentioned that you can find nearly 2500 items of red silicone O-rings and that 1mm x 45mm might fit, but I can't say with 100% certainty; you might need 47mm. Maybe ProBoat has the dimensions of the rings.

solid esc but just lacks the punch no matter how you time it or change the start up with card....

cant get up on plane with those ztw soft starts.... on certain hulls, its a hassle

Glitchiing is from flex shaft to prop wore out plastic liner cousing interface to radio. My opinion .

8s, and I am happy on 6s!! What you think about HCL HP 6500MAH 150C, and qs8 connections, for my SW v2 and UL 19 boats? Both have stock motor, duel cooling and OSE 150A esc.. Are they too heavy? Should I go lighter? Thanks B, keep em going!

yeah i dont know.... i wasnt all that impressed when i ran 8s of course it was just a 200aztw, but 6s on 150afly. timinmg tweaked up, ran faster and beetr, and the hullwas lighter ......

those ztw starts suck even with the timing card turned all the way up. i wish i wouldnt have wasted money on that esc. i used it once and took that esc out and on the shelf, not worth the money in anyway
