Hey guys, here is a quick review on the 8TEN Chainsaw bar & chains I purchased on Amazon. I've very impressed with the quality of the bar and chains. I had to purchase the the new bar for my Stihl ms291 because the factory bar and chain is 0.050" gauge and the new chains I purchased were 0.063" gauge. ***** I did install my Stihl chain on the new bar by mistake but noticed after the poor cut, I replaced with new 8TEN and it cut very smooth. Yea there's knuckleheads all over the internet saying "Those things are cheap China stuff...blah blah blah." The way I see it, if you buy it and it works well for you, then who cares what someone else's opinion is, right?

@@user-hn9qg5qm3o yep I know people hate on them and that's fine. I run saws more than most I'm in the firewood business around 50 cords a year for the past 20 years. I don't consider myself a pro but I do have a lot of experience with saws. More than most.

Holding up very well. The past summer I used one 8ten chain for 20+ cords of wood. Super impressed.

Just wondering what do think of the 8 ten chains after using them for awhile?

I find they are amazing. I used a sharpening tool and they seemed just as good as OEM chain. Very impressed.

How did it hold up after the initial use? How much cutting was done before it needed resharpening?

I got about 10 cords of wood in and it hit a small stone. I replaced with a new one just due to the cheap cost.

Being old school ya do what ya gotta do , bought 3 chains boy was tight on my saw also. I JUST used a zip cut on a grinder just enough to take the number off the Legs took 10 minutes works great cuts great

Don't use this chain on your NEW Oregon bar or Stihl bar. This is cheap China chain... The drive links are over size and will wear your brand new bar out. I got there .063 chain and it was about .068 on a lot of the drive links. Almost ruined my new $144.00 32 inch TsuMura bar This chain is a good price but only for a worn out bar. That's about it.

What's up with these fkd up names? I seen a bank called fifth third bank and now an 8ten damn bar and chain! I know kids aren't too smart these days and can't tell time on an analog clock or count change but this is going too far!

I've been wondering if the .063 is noticeably heavier than the .050? I would assume that the 63 is more robust It doesn't take much weight on the bar and chain to make a saw feel heavier. Thanks for the video. I've also been wondering if the 8TEN brand is any good. How is it holding up so far?

I didn't notice any difference with the weight. The 8ten brand has been pretty awesome for the price and convivence of being available on amazon. Thanks for watching. I will be cutting way this week and maybe will post another video. cheers. Matt
