Just got the 2nd Edition in the mail. Very nice production especially the mounted map.

Thanks! We tried to make the game manuals to both Second Edition games (8th & 20th) as clear as possible, with lots of illustrations/examples and particular attention paid to what drew the most questions from the 1st edition. How do you get squadrons in the German dead pile if their are no squadrons to kill.

All the Luftwaffe Squadrons start in the "Dead Pile", as do most USAAF Squadrons. See page 3, III. Setup, i. "Place all the USAAF and Luftwaffe Squadrons in separate piles off the board. These are referred to from now on as the “Dead Piles”, because all destroyed units (including destroyed Groups) will be tossed here as well."
