Thank you for making this video and explaining it all in such detail. You just gave me a future project for my EK. One question on them, Do the back seats lock in place?
@@Toppdawghaulscars some cutting, bending, and redrilling required but if you good with that then not too bad. Also you won’t be able to use factory plug for side air bags to directly plug in. I just used resistors for the airbag light
This is completely unrelated but do you think those 9th gen si seats with the read suede fot in a 8th gen civic si ? Wanna go with a red and black them in my interior the car being wraped white.
my question is.. why not modify the base 99 bracket to bolt the 8th gen seats onto the bracket..? or was that what you were refering to with the welding and whatnot?
Can’t confirm, but after some thought on this for my hatch as well, I’m doubting they will. Rear seats on ek hatch are 50/50 split (on mine at least), and these seats are 60/40. So it looks like relocating the stock flange ( 6:25 ) would be necessary
I doubt the rear seats would fit the ek hatch they’ll fit the ex ed ek coupe though. Honestly might even fit in the four door but that’s adding so much weight I’d really only throw the fronts in. Which is what I’m planning to do as soon as my car gets back from the mechanic
Do they sit lower? My stock seats sit Soo high and I can’t stand it. I have a 98 and actually have 99-00 seats in front and they sit way too high for my liking.
