I'm so dumb I was wondering how to adjust the latch, it sounded like such a pain then I watch this and realize... you adjust the hook, not the mechanism itself. Super easy.
Any idea if it sits higher on one side than the other? I know the "bump stop" things can be adjusted but that doesn't seem to be the issue since I'm having the problem even with the one on the high side removed.
@@CrappyCSX the drivers side seems closer and the passenger side seems to have more of a gap. I know it's never been hit because I bought it new. I do plan on getting a carbon fiber trunk. Along with carbon fiber fenders, and hood. In the meantime though I'd like my trunk to be perfect. It's barely noticeable, but as a car guy I notice it. I know ever square inch of my car.
@@braktillian the stoppers more or less just act as cushion for the trunk lid and car body. They turn in and out slightly but the latch position will do most of the aligning.
@@braktillian try keeping them just slightly loose so it drags a bit. Push the trunk down into the position you want it to sit. Then carefully open the trunk and snug the bolts back up. Otherwise this trick might not work for you unfortunately.
