2nd gen is the best gen because of how much things you can do after post game, traveling to previous region and battle all gym leader there even challeging the first game protagonist is mind blowing for me

Big Smoke bule and silver were not fucker well silver kinda is Bule is just messing with you aka just being a playful jerk like a friend but more of a rival Silver changed in heartgold soul silver he became friends with his Pokemon BTW bule was helping us all a long
Yellow was my first game but silver and gold were way better and I loved Johto the most. I’ve literally just played gold again on emulator and it was sick

Oh yea no doubt, hands down 2nd gen pokemon had the best music for battles and even move sets like surf and psychic just to name a couple, had the best sound effects as well the way the move looked.
Yeah but I just noticed, when you vs Blue in Heart Gold, Soul Silver, Gold, Silver, Crystal. Umm.. Just to let you know Blue doesn't even battle you with full power, but if you vs Blue in Elite Four (R/B/Y/Green/FR/LG) He's pretty hard. But In heart Gold I didn't even have much of a problem. so it's obvious that he didn't want to battle you full power.
he shouldes stay as a champion, I guess he didn't want to because Red beat him and didn't stay in the elite as well. Because if he is a gym leader no one will beat him...I guess 8 gym is always closed or he battles joking with weak pokemon. The real Blue/Green was as a champion in 1gen, to be honest.
I guess he wasn't not full power because he underrestimated him, however, story implies he genuinely fought hard, but imagine a non gold/ethan scenario, while every Kanto trainer go to 8gym, even if joking Blue is a damn veteran pro battler, I bet he let all people win lol, but he also don't enjoy losing. It's pretty confusing. And about Blastoise, it is weird though, he canonically used is well know 6 team (alakazam, arcanine, gyarados, exeggutor, rhydon, pidgeot)without him, and even in the remake, gold remake and black 2 he does not have his starter. There are theories that the blastoise and venusaur with red's battle are blues one and green one (like the manga). But who knows, maybe Gamefreak just never though how big their series will be and how to give them a properly logical contuinity. That being said, I don't know if while battling him on the battle tree in Sun/Moon he has his Blastoise, but in the first meet he hasn't, just like his iconic team (aero replacing pidgeot though :/)

I love that they keept Blue's attitude of being a selfish jerk just like he acted in first gen. But he pretty much accepted the fact that he was the second best after Red beat his ass down.
2001 I went into this game blind didnt even realize I could go to kanto I remember the sheer excitement was over me and that was literally like the most intense walkthrough ever .
no one's gonna say that this guy's team is probably the best gym leader team ever? basically the only gym leader that you can't defeat training an specific type Pokemon because he isn't a monotype

I love how the sound effects effect the music. no matter how much one attempts to fake a battle, if music notes are unaffected in Gen 1 to 5 (yeah Gen 5 even had this effect) then it's fake, in X and Y and ORAS they use music not generated by the system but produced from soundfiles
Just the deliver of his lines make this theme more impactful. It feels like everything is on the line and at the time, finding blue (previous champion) as a gym leader-yk it’s gonna be a tough one, esp for having no trainers to get between your final battle for the final badge
Did Gold and silver really not have animations for when the pokemon came out? That was one of my favorite parts of crystal. Its animations were better than gen 3 and 4 were they looked like they were just hopping around

why is his ace pokemon Arcanine? mad disappointing it isn't Blastoise. I have a save file that I havent gotten around to beating Blue in, now im less inclined to face off against the second goat.
Why is your pokemon levels so low? I always train all my pokemon to at least level 80 before taking on the elite 4 and the champion. Takes a long time to do all of that training but definitely worth it
Adam Ripingill jhonto region althougth my favorite region is kinda imfamous for havong a lack of exp it has very few trainers and by the time you even get to lvl 50 youll be at lance the champion and btw this isnt red or blue version its second gen silver gold and crystal version
He didn't actually lower his mons levels, it was more of a power scaling deal like after he got dethroned in R/B/Y, he let off the gas on training. Red on the other hand did not, his mons show that.
The Game Creators back in the day needed to make the game more balanced when reintroducing Kanto, which is why the Kanto Gyms seem weaker to us. They fixed this issue in Heartgold & Soul Silver, by giving the Elite 4 & All gyms a “Round 2” version, with i believe Blue topping all other gyms with a high level of 72. I do think that Blue should’ve atleast had the same levels or if not stronger than Lances pokemon
