Let me tell you why I love 8x8 albums for quick projects, show you a couple of my finished albums, and give you a quick tutorial on how to create a whole 8x8 album in a hurry.

In 2005 my son was KIA in Iraq, and his best friend that he'd known all of his 21 years was extremely devastated. For this boy's 25th birthday I made an 8x8 album telling the story of their lives, all the things they did together, which included church, school, trips, just every day events. He still has this album, which he shares with his children, especially his son who he named for my son. This is one way 8x8s can be used. I've also made family tree books for brides and grooms in my family.

Oh my goodness, Cynthia, what a heart-warming yet devastating story. I'm so sorry for the loss of your son. One of my dearest friends' husbands was KIA in Afghanistan in 2006, and even seeing it from the outside was incredibly difficult. What a treasure that album must be for your son's best friend. Hugs to you.

This video was a lifesaver I decided at the last minute to do an 8x8 for my brother-in-law for Christmas 🎄 and I was able to complete it in time!

I love 8x8's and I wish they were available all year round. I send the suggestion to CM.

I'm glad you love them! They've told us they don't sell well enough to justify keeping them all the time, but the pages are always available so once you figure out their pattern (usually March/April and September/October) it's easier to plan. But I'm glad you sent in the suggestion!
