I absolutely love that girl’s acting,when the operator gave her the hint she perfectly acted out that moment of realisation of what the operator meant

I remember reading about a woman held hostage who called 911 pretending to order pizza. The responder instantly figured out something was wrong and she sent police to her location. Turns out she was being held hostage and abused for a long time. It seems like a stretch to do this but you never know it might work and I hope to god it does for anyone who is in trouble.

If anyone wants an explanation, here it is. Okay so basically, the dispatcher told Kristen that if there was anywhere safe she could get to, to say peppers. Kristen responded with no, definitely no peppers. Then, her boyfriend (Andrew), got suspicious and took the phone and saw that it was 911 on the call, not the pizza delivery service. He held Kristen by her neck, and the dispatcher told him to let her go, and that officers would be at their apartment soon. She said that if he cooperated, he would be let off with a warning, but if he resisted, he would be sentenced to life in prison. Then, Andrew asked why he should let go. The dispatcher responded with telling him her grandma always said “When god closes a door, he opens a window. And sometimes, you have to take a leap of faith.” Andrew was confused by this, but Kristen realized the dispatcher was signaling for her to jump out of the window. She kicked her boyfriend, leaving him stunned, and then jumped off of the balcony where the officers were, waiting with some sort of blown up thing to make sure she didn’t get hurt. Kristen ended up being safe. Hope this helped!

All these comments seem to think this is a real event. Like "She was so brave!" "That operator needs a medal!" "She wanted to live so bad she didn't even hesitate!", and all I can think about is how the fire people beat the police to the scene, had time to blow up the balloon, and know exactly where to put it. What if she had windows on both sides of the apartment and chose the wrong one? But again, the FIRST officers would just be arriving and again, they wouldn't have had time to blow up that balloon... not to mention what a CRAZY first thought that was in the first place. Like instead of making contact, they immediately jumped to "blow up a balloon bag quicker than physically possible, and give her hints to fight off her abuser and jump from the 3rd story, knowing there would be no balloon bag(again, seeing as it wouldn't be possible for it to be blown up by then). The writers of these shows go for extreme, impossible scenarios instead of a realistic, yet interesting plot line. This show has so much potential too. Instead it's like an awful RU-vid video
