@@wisherdreamer9101 Brie Larson has done an absolutely amazing job with the character. If you've read the comics, you'd know that Captain Marvel is EXACTLY like how she has portrayed. Gritty, snarky, stoic, confused and emotionless. She was trained by Kree for 6 years to be without emotions. There's a reason why critics praised her a lot in the film as well. All the Marvel actors have been perfect so far.
Kate Beckinsale from the 'Underworld' franchise would be a close runner up or an equal. She's a great athletic actress who kicks major butt on film, is gorgeous, and looks amazing in tight black leather outfits :D
Josepha Pakesch Hey everybody I’m a kid friendly youtuber that makes my own very cool movies, I just published a really cool movie called Galaxy Beyond, it’s really cool and you should see it
If he was being honest he probably see the character in a comic and unlike most actors who go for the role regardless felt he didn't physically fit the appearance of the Wolvereign!
YINSIN MUREY Hey everybody I’m a kid friendly youtuber that makes my own very cool movies, I just published a really cool movie called Galaxy Beyond, it’s really cool and you should see it
Emily Blunt is probably the biggest loss for marvel. She should have been cast as captain marvel. The original turning down of black widow was purely contractual. She had to do that stupid movie, but she wanted to play BW.
@@murdock6202 We really don't know. Not unless Emily Blunt plays a superhero character that has the same personality and morales of Black Widow in the near future, then that's the logical time we can say "no one can play black widow as good as scarlet"
Marvel saves most of the actors careers including Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, mark rufflo ,Chris Pratt But DC destroy lots of actors careers including Christin bell, Joseph Gordon Levitt, jessie heisnberg
I actually love all of Marvel's casting. The guys in charge are freakin geniuses for bagging the actors they do and consistently no less. Most of these actors have solidified their part in playing these characters and I can't imagine anyone else playing any of the Avengers or Guardians. Compared to DC who made terrible choices with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Erza Miller as the Flash (seriously? A black haired Barry Allen? In what universe??) Marvel is killing it be it the Avengers, Guardians, X-men or Deadpool.
Snipes was also uncooperative and an egomaniac while filming the Blade movies. Not only that, but Blade wasn't a well known comic book character. The X-Men were, thanks to the 90's cartoon and games. Besides, it was X-Men's success that led to Marvel continuing with their movies.
so olivia didnt want to play a role that was eye candy on paper but she chose to be a character that was written to have basically no other option but be eyecandy. I..I dont understand.
So thats why psylocke looked out of place in the movie. They wore futuristic suits while olivia wore the more comical look. Still doesnt change my mind of her being a huge comic book fan of psylocke
think about it. Guardians was a huge risk that happened to pay off...well. Sin City already had a successful installment. I don't see the fault in choosing which to play. But hey heinsight is 20/20.
Like Tremble Dust said, at the time Sin City 2 seems like the better of the two options. Guardians was a C-List group of heroes, who was not really known to many people.
Huey X everyone thought GotG would flop n the prison scene was actually melted down n sold just so they would have profit (clearly everyone was wrong but that's his reasoning)
Emely Blunt would be PERFECT as Captain Marvel. She has this Aura. She looks so innocent and sweet but can also look intimidating. Too bad the role went to Brie
Benedict is definitely Doctor Strange, Hugh Jackman did an amazing job as Wolverine and in my opinion can’t ever be matched or replaced, Scarlett is the best choice for Black Widow!
David Norris Hey everybody I’m a kid friendly youtuber that makes my own very cool movies, I just published a really cool movie called Galaxy Beyond, it’s really cool and you should see it
No it wasn't , you just say that because blade was older. (1998)..X men was far better movie with a lot more good actors . you cant compare the two even...blade was a good movie , not like x men.
Oscar Fernandez DCEU not Marvel Cinema and I think Batman with Adam West had 1st DC movie July 30, 1966 premiered at Paramount Theater in Austin, Texas.
hard to imagine some of these actors playing those roles. there are a half dozen or so actors that just are THE character they play, made for the role... Robert Downey Jr. as iron man, Hugh Jackman as wolverine, Chris Pratt as starlord, Ryan Reynolds as deadpool, Chris Evans as captain America, wouldn't have been the same without them.
Buddy You need to get Your facts straight. It was not the first X-Men Movie that got the studios to invest in Marvel Movies but BLADE. It came out in the summer of 98 with a meager 40million dollar budget and made New Line a 91million dollar profit. It was the first succesful Marvel film.THAT IS WHAT CAUSED FOX STUDIOS TO INVEST 75MILLION ON THE 1ST XMEN MOVIE BACK IN 2000.
Darewin Ocampo However it was still the first critical success for a Marvel comic film and made it possible for other studios to invest/produce other Marvel properties
Actually no. The original casting is perfect. I cannot imagine anybody else playing the titular roles, nat, clint and even thanos. Everyone nailed their part.
Deric James Yeahhhh Iron Man 3 was pretty much dog shit. They completely ruined the best villain in Iron man and then had him "retire" from being iron man. Which was pointless since he actually didn't
why because it wasn't like the comics. You comic book nerd make no sense you just wanna see what you read in the comics, why??? why d you want to know what happens?
nobody said that. :D I just hated the movie, because the story was not good and why would Iron Man destroy all his suits just for show? And than have them back in Avengers. That just doesnt make sense.
Eww. Absolutely not. She'll fuck up the gritty, stoic, snarky and confused character with her emotions. Brie nailed the character just like how she is shown in the comics. Emily blunt's acting style would've screwed it up. There's a reason why critics praised Brie as well
Josue Guillen both movies were liquid shit. but the guy who narrates this video bases his opinion on critical percentages and not from actualy thinking for himself
yes he did... i do think that both apocalypse and ironman 3 are shit, i have seen them and i love xmen as much as the next guy but i didn't like apocalypse nor ironman3
Emily Blunt is awesome. I really hope they never make her the hero's love interest who does nothing but nags all the time. Her character in Edge of tomorrow was perfect and she deserves good roles like that.
Jessica Castain turned out being smart to not take the role in Ironman 3 since they had written that part as the main villain and then gutted it to filler role.
That was Ike Perlmutter's doing. This was before Disney took away his influence over Marvel Studios and put Kevin Feige completely in charge of the movies.
@@ririzizy886 I'm not. I like Brie but I think Emily Blunt would have been a better choice. Brie has that Cali valley girl thing going on, but nonetheless she did a decent job.
Olivia Munn turned down a role in one of the biggest and best superhero movies of the decade because she didn't wanna be eye candy. She then signs on to star in a mediocre Fox film wearing basically a bathing suit and knee high boots lol Also, Mel Gibson would have made the perfect Old Man Logan.
I wouldn't say DP was the biggest or best movie in decades. that's taking it a bit far imo. They did nail DP's character. The rest of the film..not real;ly faithful to the comics but it was a cool watch. Thank God they finally got Colossus right, and the movie did show that Fox executives..hey numb numbs...look u can have a R-rated comic book film and it does well. The decision by Munn...looks to me like not really reading the script of both movies well or the producers of Apcolypse lied their ass off to her on how Psylocke would be portrayed. And lets be honest...u are offered to play Psylocke or Copy Cat...ummm yea I don't see too many turning down Psylocke if done right. Hell yea @ old man logan right now. If they caught Gibson when he was younger I could totally see him be wolverine.
Tremble Dust It's top 10 superhero movie in the last decade to me. Obviously below Avengers, Winter Soldier, Civil War, IM and the Nolan Trilogy. But it's definitely better than every Xmen movie besides X2. But that's just my opinion. It also works because the movie itself was a low investment gamble that paid off damn well. I can understand not wanting to just play a gf but that gf had more speaking lines than psylocke and was far more interesting. Sometimes you gotta look past the character and look at who's writing and directing them. Ryan Reynolds behind a Deadpool passion film? I'll take that over the typical Fox cash grab, timeline destroying blockbuster. Honestly, Gibson right now looks like Old Man Logan to me lol I watched Blood Father and felt like I was looking at an Old Man Logan audition reel lol
I totally get what u are saying @ Top 10. And I definitely respect your opinion. My thing was they took a bit too much liberties with the characters and source material then I liked. Again they nailed DP..no pun intended...but Archlight taking out Colossus...no. Ajax being the head of the weapon plus facility that created DP...no. The way they explained mutants being created...I get what they were they got that from...using the Ult Universe explanation of Mutants vs. 616...eh. Even though it doesnt matter cause both Universes are gone but still. Agreed @ Gamble and paid off well. Like I said it seems like either she didn't full read the scripts for each movie or the producers for Apocalypse straight up pulled a Leto and edited all the scenes that made her want to sign on for the roll in the first place. My thing is First Class and DOFP kinda brought some respect back to the franchise (even though I thought the films didn't even come close to fixing the franchise as a whole) and the way Singer was toting Apocalypse as being soooo good...I kinda see the appeal. And again...dude its Psylocke. lol. But yea heinsight and all that. I cannot agree with u more @ old man logan.
Wait..Iron man 3 brilliant twist???? Are you out of your mind!! The Mandarin is one of iron man's best villains and also the coolest but they destroyed the character with that stupid twist where he's an actor and killian being the mandarin instead
I think having it actually be a woman villain being the strings behind the Mandarin would have worked. She could have been closer to Tony making the betrayal sharper.
olivia Munn auditioned for Daredevil But the Producers thought she was'nt rights for the Role but called her for the production of Apocalyse , Check ur facts
But Olivia was never an actor in the first place? She was selected by the directors because of how pretty she is and obviously eye candy for the viewer too. But tbh she's beautiful but not great at acting either.
no. Iron Man is credited for launching the MCU. U can argue Blade should get the credit for the influx of superhero movies currently. X-men did help with its box office numbers.
God no, that is a fantastic movie followed by 2 even better movies but that would be about it. DC only started to jump on the MCU bandwagon after they were having huge success. With Iron Man 1 you can draw a line to Avengers Infinity Wars which will connect almost every movie that came before it. All the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy even Doctor Strange will be in it. With the DCU being the mess it is right now with directors quitting and re-writes all over the place. But thats an diffirent story. If you want to we could see the Batman series from the 60's or Superman series from the 50's etc etc as the beginning of it all. What matters realy is that we get movies now that we thought we would never get before. So lets just enjoy them while it lasts.
Spiderman. Full respect to Blade and X-Men, but I think Spiderman deserves most credit. Blade himself is a comicbook character, but "vampire hunter" might be one of the oldest movie hero concepts. The first X Men didnt have the CGI quite down yet and had the darker feel Marvel mostly gave up to DC. Spiperman was first with the quality CGI and the lighter comedy Marvel ended up going with in Iron Man and the rest of the MCU I love them all, but Spiderman sticks out in my memory the most. Well, not the most. Spiderman 2 was even better. Fuck, I hope they dont fuck up the re-reboot.
How old are you? X-Men definitely started the comic book wave in Hollywood and made people take comic book films seriously. ex. Spider-man, Batman, Blade, Punisher, Fantastic Four, Man-thing, Ghost rider Constantine, Daredevil, Elektra, V for vendetta,Watchmen and Catwoman,
Stitchowi Actually she a bit different from the Black Widow seen in the comics. Saying Scarlet is Black Widow is like saying Hugh Jackman is Wolverine, sure he can do the character well but there are a few things about him (especially physically) that are very much un-Wolverine like.
I still can't believe people are still shitting on Daredevil but still say that Iron Man 3 was a good movie. Iron Man 3 was shit and the only reason people like it is because they like watching Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.
Cumberbatch was the perfect choice for Steven Strange though, because anyone who watches Sherlock knows that he's brilliant and right at home in the role of the arrogant genius savant.
I agree, Cumberbatch was perfect for the role. Not that I'm a big fan (especially since he seems to have gone crazy), but Joaquin I think would have been a good pick too
Excuse me but Peggy Carter is not “Captain America’s love interest” she’s an officer with the british intelligence, part of the American army experiment to produce super soldiers and co founder of shield, show her some respect.
Lamia Lola *’’Excuse me but Peggy is not CA’s love interest’’* - I’m afraid you might need to learn some grammar because this statement implies that Peggy isn’t CA’s love interest while you were trying to imply that Peggy isn’t *just* CA’s love interest. You clearly got all woosy when he forgot to mention that she was the founder of shield from the tone of your comment and right now, you’re using the laughing emoji to cover up your shallow-minded personality.
Keegs Rodrigues so I can’t defend a character that I like? I think It’s okay to have different opinions, you think she’s only CA love interest, I think not just that. Also you don’t have to insult my intelligence to get your point across, that was just uncalled for.
Peter quill is by far the best character ever. And the chemistry with Zoe and Bradley cooper and Dave are just amazing. Tony stark is probably my next favourite
*Funny how they credited X-men as the first Marvel studios hit when in actuality it was Blade featuring Wesley Snipes.....Hmmmm. Now I wonder why that is?*
Frank Parrish Marvel Studios had developed the film as early as 1992, when rapper/actor LL Cool J was interested in playing the lead role.[9] Blade was eventually set up at New Line Cinema, with David S. Goyer writing the script.
7:30 Huh? First of all she got offered the role of Black Widow. Secondly in the MCU there are many female heroes. To mention some: Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Shuri, Okoye, Valkyrie, Mantis, Gamora, Agent Maria Hill, Captain Marvel and many more. Also in other Marvel movies (and comics obviously) like the girls from X-Men... Of course there are more male heroes, but Marvel offers many females as well.
Nothing worked out for Emily Blunt because she's destined to be Susan Storm/Invisible Woman when the F4 premieres. Thats a perfect role for what she's looking for as part of a superhero film. She'll still be a "love interest" to someone, but someone will also be a love interest to her as well. Plus she'll be the most powerful member of the team, so long as they don't nerf her power down like they did to Jessica Alba. They should also go the extra mile and cast her husband John as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic too since he already wants the role.
