Thanks for your comment! And yes, I totally agree with you in terms of blue. I knew the cockpit would not be visible in the end so I just used some random blue that I had that time to feel at least I had done some painting jobs on all parts!
Another masterpiece by Kevin. One question... why did you choose to use the decal over the cockpit windows instead of painting the window panels to create the slightly translucent effect that you did on the recent 747 models?
Thanks for your comment! The window panel on A340 didn’t fit as good as the one on 747-8, so I had to use putty to fill the gaps. Also the cockpit window decal had a more accurate shape, so I decided to use the decal this time!
Hi Kevin. Greetings from Texas! Wonderful channel. Great models! Question, What putty do you use? I see you use Tamiya, and another one from Japan. What brand is this one, and where can I get it online? Thaks in Advance and Best Regards!
Thanks for comment. I was using wood putty (only because it's much cheaper than the Tamiya putty) from Cemedine, the Japanese local brand. I am not sure if the brand is available on the online store in the states, but I am sure you can get a similar one from home depots in the states. Thanks!
It sometimes happens to me, too with old decals, but with that particular MD-11, the decal did not disintegrate. Maybe it will depends on how a kit has been stored. You can use the Hasegawa logo decal at a corner or whichever the decal you don't use to test whether it disintegrate or not, and if it does, you can clear coat the decal set before soaking into water to avoid disintegrating. I hope it helps!

One question. What brand of brown-orange putty do you use from inside/out of the windows ? I see you complete the filling from outside with Tamiya but not the inside. Awesome build. //Matt
Thanks for leaving a comment. I used wood putty that I purchased from a local homedepot store. It's a lot cheaper compared to Tamiya putty, so I used it to fill the windows before I seal it with the putty from Tamiya.
