Cruciferous vegetables are rich in folate, carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, and fiber. These vegetables are said to have anti-cancer properties and support heart health. These are known as cruciferous because of their cross-shaped flowers. First is broccoli. Broccoli is rich in vitamin C, potassium, vitamin B6, and folate. The amount of potassium present in broccoli helps in controlling blood pressure levels. It contains sulforaphane which reduces bad cholesterol levels.Next is, cabbage. Cabbage is a rich source of vitamin B6 and vitamin A. It consists of anthocyanin, which protects the heart from cardiovascular diseases or the buildup of fat in the arteries. You can also eat kale. Kale is power-packed with vitamin A, vitamin K, folate, magnesium, carotenoids, flavonoids, and kaempferol.
