Right I thought I was going crazy. When I look at the map I only see the upgrade guy nothing else. The entire level is empty I dont get what we're supposed to do?
I finally did it. Unlocked Gains, killed the bone ball thing and barely survived the level with Red Mask all in one go. That was freaking insane. Took me forever to figure it out. What I used was Pentagram, daggers, garlic, laurels, axe/syth and only was able to get the blue gun. If it wasn't for that red reaper moving as fast as he does, I would have never accomplished all three. That got my heart pumping.
Random trivia. The quality of enemy the Katamari Ball eats doesn't seem to matter. I thought it maybe added all the HP of enemies rolled over, but it's just some predetermined amount per enemy consumed. I waited until 30min before engaging it and let it eat a Red Reaper and was still able to kill it easily thereafter. This also means letting the ball roll over abundant farming waves full of small enemies will make it huge.
More fun trivia. You can physically push the ball around. This is obviously very damaging and lethal without Laurel though. Pushing the ball into the Merchant does nothing.
@@jaeusa160 i see. Do you know anyway to get red death directly/indirectly using cheat codes? Like give myself an op chracter or traits to best him. I just killed the skeleton ball early game with peachon and ebony wings combined. Im surprised no one tried it before though
I don't know if this could help some of you but this is how i killed Sketamari; Played the Red Death with only 1 weapon (being Death Spiral), used the Slash arcana for crits on Death Spiral (x4 the actual dmg). Then went for these 3 mains passive items : Clover (for luck & more crits), Spinach (for more dmg) and the Empty Tome (for cd%). Killed it under 10mins, the Death Spiral makes it easy to clear mobs. I guess it should work playing Lama as well since she's using axes (:
@@WildAndRecklessDrAw This worked wonders for me! After the Slash arcana I found the other arcana that gives you perks for only having one active weapons and the bone ball died in like a minute or two
I tried all and more characters, normal and hard mode, it's just impossible, there comes a point where it starts to grow and never dies. The game was entertaining at first but after this and blocking half of the content in a "secret" way, I lost all the desire to play.
I was able to destroy it but not like in the video, I just played my normal game and when it was strong enough there I went to look for it and I was able to kill it. Maybe before it had less life or it depends on the level but as in the video it is no longer possible to do it.
For those who already spent several hours trying to get the Scroll: get rid of the Curse, go for Leda + Game Killer + all of the weapons from the merchant. This is what finally worked for me. The ball was dead in less than 7 mins.
"Get rid of the curse"....what does that mean? How do you get rid of it? Tried everything else you listed but after 8 minutes, the bone boss started growing substantially
I've tried all the methods in most YT videos and none work. It's been buffed, I'm sure. This level has put me off to the entire game. It makes it such a frustrating grind.
What he might have forgotten to mention, is that this is incredibly RNG dependent. For example his attempt with Gains Boros only works if you get very lucky with your passive drops on levelling. If you don't get wings, you'll be lucky to catch the ball before 1:45 and dodging mobs whilst trying to keep the sword hitting the ball is very tricky.
If you are from 2024, just pump yourself up to full strength then go deal with it, clearing mob around it helps, this includes mob in front or behind it. Get a lot of aoe and you should clear it fast
I GOT MINE WITH GENNARO! Super easy, just need to keep trying and you will get a lucky run. Just upgrade damage and projectiles. Hope to evolve the knives, took me 12mins! (And 20 tries) Good luck!! 🍀
FIRST TRY GENNARO! YOU'RE A GENIUS BRO! I took arcana like in video and spinach + toronas'box and evovled knifes! it took ~12 mins whole run!!! i've just leveled me up and then killed that f** peace of shit
@@ChipCheerio Apparently not anymore. Shot it for about 20 minutes and still didn't die, only grew larger and larger. None of the guides worked for me so far :-/
Maybe one of this tricks worked 1-3 years back but I've tried every single one and played for 4 hours, not even close to completing It. Either you made It pre-patched, cheated or got luckier than the luckiest person on earth.
None of these methods work anymore. Red Death doesn't seem to have the DPS, and Leda is so slow now it takes almost 5 mins to get to the ball. By that time there are so many mobs on the screen her projectiles are all over the place and not all hitting the ball. Really, really frustrated,
"Set up for high speed and high starting damage and run for it at the start of the level". There, saved everyone over 10 minutes. If you wanna know the details, the Skelemari starts with about 10,000 HP, regains health when it crushes enemies, and probably gets 1.03x more health every minute like the other monsters on this map.
Was trying Red death and couldn't kill it in 6 minutes after the mob spawn raised significantly and the ball started growing, so i gave up, done >300k damage overall and still it didn't die
@TehAmelie I've changed to a negative projectile speed guy and killed it under 3min. Also, while try by red death found the way to hit 4-5 times per cast simply standing a little above the ball, since the cast goes spiral in the end it has more projectiles than at the beginning
So I retracted my original comment I have a way that someone can tear the skelly ball apart in seconds especially if you don't have red death or anything high power 1. I went with gennaro since he +1 all projectiles it makes a big difference 2. The items I used to kill it is la borra, heavenly sword, thousand knives and the lightning evolution (I had the garlic upgrade thing too you don't have to use it I just used it to keep a buffer between me and the enemies it helps immensely) 3. It may be time consuming but get all the necessary items that you're able which means fight fight and more fighting I'll include the combos below *Heavenly sword- clover and cross *La borra- Santa water and the orb that pulls items to you I can't remember the name *The lightning evolution- duplicator ring and the lightning item And of course we all know the thousand sword combo lol What this all does is amazing the la borra can pretty much keep the ball in a constant state of hurt preventing any Skelly's to get near it, the heavenly sword does massive amounts of damage especially since it crit hits and moves around a large area protecting you and hurting the ball lastly the lightning upgrade pretty much is overkill it blasts quite a bit of enemies around you keeping your area wide open and of course the knives annihilate it
for anyone struggling what worked for me was porta locked at level 1 using the game killer tarot card. you have to keep the enemies from touching it. what a huge pain in the ass
I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I tried this exact guide, used red death, since he is really fast and his burst dmg hits all enemies trying to merge with the ball. I even get duplicator twice while running to him. Then I kill every single enemy that approaches the ball, nothing touches it, but the ball will not die in time. After 2/3 minutes, the red floating skulls show up, and there are way too many of them and will get absorbed. In my game it seems the ball has way more HP than in this vid. I also made sure I did not spent any points in curse.
@@CidHighwind while a more lengthy route you can take Corridor and single target weapons like thousand edge and holy Wand. The rest just mass clear. Corridor halfs enemy hp each time and the 2 single targets will keep the ball in place. The aoe is just to screen kill all enemies
Lama method worked perfectly. Axes + duplicator + tome for base. During killing i grabbed revivals and spinach. It tooked me like 10 minutes of constant hitting
Red death does work still just took around 6 minutes. Fairly upgraded by that point but once you get to the phase with the turrets that shoot it gets way easier. Was about to give up but then got it
Ok this might be a long post, but please read it OK? So, me and my friend are playing this game, me on PC he on Xbox, and we're playing side by side so we can see each other's screen. I spent the good amount of an afternoon on this stage, and it was a nightmare. After the 10 minute mark I can't seem to kill anything, no matter how strong I make my character, and the Bone Ball just get bigger and bigger and bigger, and with all the unkillable monsters around I end up dying a miserable death everytime. My friend, who is a little behind since he only plays when he's at my house, decided to try that stage for the first time, since he had just unlocked it. He used Cavallo (the panda). He doesn't even use arcanas, cause he thinks it's "too much trouble". Well, for WHATEVER REASON, the stage was on ULTRA easy mode for him. He took his sweet time gathering resouces and leveling up, his shots cutting through monsters like hot knife on butter, killiing them almost instantly ever after the 10 minute mark, and when he decided to fight the bone ball, he killed it in secounds. We were astonished. I still don't understand what happened. I seached the internet trying to figure out why such a huge difference in our experiences but no one seem to know anything, not even make any mention to an easier method. No exploit, no bug, nothing! The consensus seem to be that that is in fact the hardest stage of the game. Even if there are some work arounds, like the method on this video, it would take him much more time to unlock the necessary resoucers (which he didn't have at his disposal when he tried). So why it suddenly became so easy for him? Did any of you experienced something like that? Is that even possible?
If you are using inverse the enemies HP is increased, and you may be using Curse which makes the enemies tougher. The bone ball wants to eat up enemies, meaning a strong build can kill him before you even get to see him, but a weaker build or having a ton of enemies around can lead to fast growth. Also XBox may be behind in patches and I know it has a lot of issues, so there is that. Bone Ball used to have way less HP and now it's I think at 100k. Without seeing an actual comparison there is little to say about it
@@DexTag I think you just solved the mystery, friend. I don't know why we didn't try this before, but I played the level on Xbox (since gamepass games share saves between Pc and Xbox) and guess what... Made it, first try! It was a walk in the park, monsters didn't stand a chance. Because it's a recent release people might not be aware of this, but yeah, this level is a joke on Xbox, at least until they patch it. Spread the word ;)
i did it with morrabbio and slash, took around 2:50- i had the gold bar, duplicator, candle, cooldown reduction tome and bracer (sort of just took whatever popped up, bracer and candle seem to work wonders)
Go for Leda but itll take roughly 6 minutes Red Death is one of the worst ones out of them damage wise, the good part about him was the movement speed but the bone ball has more HP now
@@DexTag I just tried Gains Boros, and that one also doesn't work. I don't have a 'Leda' character yet. I guess the developers watched your video and made the game a lot harder.
Ok, this is way to complicated if you're like me, just a casual noob with not many special unlocks yet. I came to this video after an embarrassing attempt at killing the ball, I stopped the video after a few seconds, seeing it's not for me, I decided to just just go for the evolved knife. You can really choose whatever character you like, Gennaro is nice with extra projectile and guaranteed knife, take whatever other skills you want to keep your back clear while killing the ball, I had Magic Wand, Cross, Firewand, Lightning Strike and Santa Water, but I imagine it will work with pretty much any skill setup. Level up while moving south, once you have evolved knife, go stand in front of the ball, you will attack so fast it get's pushed back, it will be dead within 30 seconds.
I was able to do with with Poppea and playing normally for 20 mins, a few people mentioned this. Go for high damage , I also got a laurel for defense and then just peddled as close as I could to the ball and beat it within a few minutes. No arcanas needed or special items/secret characters.
I tried the Red Death method and had no luck. Then I tried leveling and evolving all my weapons then heading to to skele-ball and killed it ab a minute. It was easy with No Future. If u kill all the enemies before they get to the ball, it doesn’t get any bigger. Hope this helps
i found out that for new player which have only 1 reroll, no arcanas and no merchant, but everything from the basic upgrades in the store except revive and curse, it's possible to kill this ball by only using Concetta Caciotta , not sure from which mission i got him, probably he was one of the "?" heroes on the map in some stage, must enable hyper mode, then level up to level 3 or 4 on start, hopefully will get +1 to projectiles and song of mana, and then to go down & right, then once below the ball, must move bottom right & then up & it will shoot projectiles into him, must keep doing that rapidly while being a bit in front bottom of the ball, will kill him on around mid 3rd or 4th minute even if unlucky with level ups Lama is impossible for new player since damage is way way lower than on the video
For everyone struggling: Take Red Death, grab Spinach, Tome and Wand on the way to him. Disable all Curse powerups, disable hyper mode. Then the key to defeating him is to constantly circle him and prevent all enemies from reaching him. Dont do it like the guides you find where people just walk in one spot in front of him.
You guys want an easy way to beat the boss? No cheats? Pugnala Provola with Gemini and Silent Old Sanctuary. Easiest thing you'll have to do. Nothing can touch the boss and the damage output is INSANE. You get three weapons in one thus gaining the full benefit from Old Sanctuary. I'm chilling on 245%might.
I rushed it with Red Death and didn't realise just what i had gotten myself into, i think i killed it with clockwork and the pistols eventually. Same for me, i noticed it getting bigger but i had no idea what it meant.
Tried Red Death and Marrabbio with over 200% Might... went from 50secs to 5+min with no sign of defeating.... Any updates on this would appreciated::: Update: Used Red Death and Sanctuary and reset until I got Red Tome to Max Cooldown, plus a little spinach and a Bracer... took approx 8min
I don't understand the secret scroll that dropped there. In the Main menu I can enter codes, like PureFlower or whatever it was and nothing happens after. Sorry If I missed the vid about that
Don’t worry iOS users! (Or android probably as well) took about 15 mins with the whip. Just followed underneath him and whipped him to death and he dropped eventually.
I've been trying to beat this dude for the last 10 minutes. He is taking up half of my screen. That's how big he has gotten and he just will not die. I started fighting him at 16 minutes in and I am at 28 minutes in now. What am I doing wrong
Okay this is not working at all. Every upgrade maxed. Spinach 3 Duplicator 2 and Reaper with no Curse or Hyper... I'm here at 4 minutes watching this thing still rolling. Did this get patched? What's wrong here?!
Takes longer is a bit of understatment. I had to hit him with Porta for 13 minutes. He never grew an inch and I am 99% sure he ate like 10 mobs at max. That i a crazy HP buff.@@DexTag
@@MrThuvanit should not take you that long, that means he ate a lot or you are missing hits. The HP of Sketamari is 10800, if you collect XP to shoot at him and your weapons hit him, you should deal around 50 damage a second. That means it's done after close to 4 minutes (after you start hitting him) on the basis of 10800 HP. Curse and eating enemies obviously sets this off, but if you look at the video I did a lot more than 50 damage a second, meaning the expectation is it's faster if your case is true.
@@DexTag He did ate a Stalker Reaper at 10 min mark, but thats really it. The whole map around him was basically empty all the time, I even had a chance to upgrade weapons from Chests as the time went. After all I got him and won't be tryingit again xD Thanks
Just tried it with boros, several times, only one weapon, everything like in the video and I still can't kill it (even had 2 replicator and 2 spinach) :/
I defeated it using Smith+No Future+Thousand Knives with all curse passives maxed. After watching this video, I feel stupid and proud at the same time.
i've seen recent comment and they say with leda it takes about 6 minuets but the thing is that leda's shots are not homing to the ball like in the video so its harder
@@DexTag I mean that’s what I meant but it doesn’t lock into the ball thingy, anyways after suffering enough I actually beat him with Leda so thank you.
They definitely changed something, tried buying all weapons, rushing towards it, with the curse turned off, and spamming it for 10 minutes, not working, I just keep dying after 10min because I don't have many weapon upgrades. Update for people who are still struggling: Just play normally until 30 min, get your best combination, and then go kill it. When the timer hits 30 min, the monster disappears, but death doesn't come, so you can kill that f**king ball.
Updated. Has way more starting HP. I managed to use Leda and kill him by 3 minutes. Dealt 175k damage while getting dup ring, spinach and tome for extra damage!
