I've had the same hair color & style for probably 2-3 years now and I still get compliments on my hair literally EVERY day so I think maybe that's not a fashion mistake for everyone, especially if it's a very flattering cut/color on you.

I'm with you on the denim on denim - I feel that a denim jacket with black jeans or patterned/floral skirts or dresses is a match made in heaven. There are so many other options that work with blue denim jeans - trench coats, leather or vegan leather jackets, blazers etc.

I have to disagree with Shea's comment that "all handheld steamers are terrible."What's terrible is promoting one for $195 when there ARE good ones on Amazon for $35 or less. I got one that has 16,000 4.5 star reviews and works great.

I don't think its "Terrible" for Shea to promote a product she likes regardless of the price. Just because you have found a handheld steamer that you like doesn't make her wrong for not finding a cheaper version that she likes. What I do think is terrible is making disrespectful comments about what she chooses to promote. I personally haven't found a handheld or a pro steamer that I like in ANY price range. Its a very simple fix...if you don't like it, watch a different RU-vidr.

I stand by my statement and opinion. You quoted the word "Terrible " as if I said it originally but it was Shea when she said "All handheld steamers are terrible. " Really? Has she tried them all? 🤣 It is misguided to influence people into thinking there are no other effective options other than the $195 handheld steamer by the company that SPONSORED and PAID her for the video. The hairstyle is so true. I haven’t change my wardrobe but since styling my hair differently I noticed I feel different too, it really changes my outfit. I have longer hair than yours and I’ve been adding braids to my hairstyle. I would love to see you Shea with braids 🤗

I never could wear two different blue denims together. I would wear two matching denims (matching top and bottom makes me look slimmer; people actually ask me if I lost weight) but the slightest variation makes me cringe. Is that ocd?

imho skirts should NEVER end at the calf, it's so unflattering. Even if it looks good with heels, it always looks BETTER if it ends above the widest point of the calf or closer to the ankle.

You touched on a lot of great points!! I’m 5’1” and I really think I just added that 1” when I got my license 23 years ago but my body I feel I split equally in half. I have friends who are the same height as me when we stand together, yet they can wear regular length pants and I always need to buy petite or ankle length. I won’t buy pants if I can’t get the shorter length because I know I’m not going to like how they look on me. So this is something I’ve had to do for many years. And I just bought my first Jean jacket in years and I went for black, well, because it was super on sale, and I know it’ll go with everything. But I’m not a fan of denim on denim like you said. Lastly, I’m not someone who needs to dress up regularly although I know many people do for work or events. I’m lucky enough to be able to stay home with my children but if I were to dress up and put on a skirt, you can be sure I’m wearing heals or wedges with it and not flats. I shattered my ankle 11 years ago and can’t really do heals but I can run my butt off in a pair of wedges. I love them! Great video. You put a lot into perspective ❤️

As someone who has a 40” inseam I am SO glad that you suggested that some people should consider buying petite sizes so the skinny jeans don’t bunch up at the ankle. Because the extra long length that I have to wear sell out so fast and the majority of women purchasing them don’t need the extra 10” like I do. 😁

I have the opposite problem. I always try to buy petite/short when I can (even though they still need hemmed 😒) but they also sell out fast. I have never gotten the tall versions of things knowing they have the same problem. Wish I could donate all the extra material I've cut off over the years!

@@littlemissmel88 My friend, the cropped trend works for you!! I’m 5’3” but have a crazy long torso and thus can’t buy petite anything. Madewell has petite and tall for their jeans. Good brand, too.

@@lpalacios1 I’m 6’3” tall but unevenly proportioned to say the least. Lol My inseam is 40” and there are a few stores that offer “tall” but the length tends to be from the crotch up instead of from the crotch down. And other stores consider 5’7” to be “tall” and the longest inseam they offer is a 33”. I did find 2 stores that sell 38” inseams but they’re sold out or they want anywhere from $120 - $155 a pair. It’s just crazy! The store Buckle sells long enough jeans but they sell them quickly and they’ve told me that the shorter girls like them so they can wear high heels. I wish I had to hem a pair of jeans, it would be much easier than trying to add on.🤣😂

I used my piller thing on my rug in then kitchen. It is washable, but it was pilling up terrible. So I used my sweater shaver. It worked great.

I'm 5'3" 112 lbs but can only wear short sleeve/ sleeveless dresses & tops, and petite skirts. Can't wear anything petite sized that's long sleeved or pants because the arms n legs are too short on me.

If $195 is just too much to spend on a steamer and fabric shaver for you, I have the hilife steamer from Amazon ($27 dollars) and the Conair fabric shaver from Amazon ($13 dollars) and they work just fine for me. I just think the Sloane brand is luxury and priced very, very steep.

I grew out my bangs this past year while I worked from home. I’ve wanted to do it for years, but I never would because of that awkward mid stage. Staying at home had its advantages! I’m guilty of having my jeans too long. I’m definitely trying on petites next time.

I'm 5'3" 112 lbs and not short waisted, yet something odd must be going on with my proportions because petite pants fit more like capris on me, they fit too short. Same problem with long sleeved tops which don't even reach to my wrists.

I LOVE ironing! It is my true zen activity in this life. But draperies, you can't & shouldn't iron those. Most are too large & long. Burning the fabric is never worth the risk. So, steaming them without worry or hassle I'm here for it. Thank 🤗🇨🇦

Hi Shea, I enjoy your videos and when I saw this one about the Sloamer steamer with the fabric shaver I ordered it right away, that was May 6 and I am still waiting for it, almost 2 months ago. The tracking says it’s been a month in USA with no movements. Do you have any idea if it’s normal to take that much time, how can I find out if the package is lost ? What to do ? Hi Shea... I wasn’t sure where to put this comment because I am not on Instagram. I was wondering if you would consider doing a video about summer shoes that are not toeless. Some of us don’t have beautiful feet, or at least we don’t have beautiful toes. I don’t like to show my toes, so I have a really hard time finding cute summer shoes that don’t look heavy. Did Shea ever do this? I think it's a great idea even though have nice toes. Sometimes my pedi REALLY needs done and no way I'm wearing sandals! I've actually bought a couple pairs of lightweight material (such as nylon, cork, etc) backless mules, slingbacks, espandrilles for this purpose. Also wear them during early spring and early fall as seasonal transition footwear.

I agree with changing your hairstyle if it's outdated or no longer flattering. There are classic styles that transcend the decades, and if a person's style fits into that category, I would say stick with it if it still suits your face. For example, I wore my hair in a shoulder length basic style two decades ago that doesn't seem to go in or out of fashion. I would still be wearing it if my hair hadn't thinned after menopause. My hair stayed the same color; I haven't turned gray. But the severe thinning hair forced me to go short, even with minoxidil and biotin.

I agree with the last one, I've cut my hair different lentos but its still the same color and now i'm back to long dark brown hair which looks great on me, however ive been thinking I should do something new. I completely agree with the denim jacket recommendations, hate the denim on denim look. Also agree with considering buying a petite size, this really depends on the brand. I am 5'8" and I in certain brands (Express especially) the jeans are ridiculously long and unless you plan on wearing heels they literally drag on the floor.

I think when it comes to denim on denim, you can do it but since it’s a monochrome outfit, you’ve got to play with your silhouette and be super mindful of the clothes you wear underneath, knowing your all-denim look needs to be a statement. So, a white turtleneck, white shoes and handbag (can be any color, really) with a slightly cropped denim jacked and super flared high-rise denim jeans? That feels like a look to me! It’s all about HOW you style these seemingly odd combinations. But totally agree the way the denim was styled in this vid was indeed a fashion mistake😊

That's what I ended up doing...buying petite. Although it's not a popular opinion but I like a small bit of bunching around my ankles in my jeans but it does get old lol.

Love love love your tips. But I think diff wash denim pants and diff wash denim jacket looks the best. I once wore a medium was pair of jeans & a light washed bleach jacket & me and all my friends showed up in jeans and jackets ( so funny. Unplanned) but they kept saying to me they wished they wore diff washes together. I think it adds dimension and also color block jeans and mixed denim pants are in style right now so just a few tips
