*Just in case anybody thinks I'm ungrateful for making this video* - The purpose of it is to let Playground Games know what features we *don't mind sacrificing* to make way for NEW features. In an ideal world I'd *LOVE* for all these features to stay and for the developers to include additional features on top of these existing ones - but unfortunately to see new features, they'd have to sacrifice existing ones :( but jaimin can go, don't care about him
Finally someone talk about the annoying unskippable cinematics, i always found it taking too much of my time in FH4 & 5 whenever i want to change my car or buy new car, or even entering the house etc, I think we should be able to skip it or at least let us get an option from settings where we can disable those cinematics, it just causes lot of frustration every time you encounter them
The thing with convoys now are, you can't do a private session anymore. Your convoy is in the public session. So what they need to do is bring back private sessions like in FH3. Now what I greatly miss is the drivatar convoys. I was really disappointed that you could only have 4 drivatars in your convoy. Literally the very first thing I did in FH5 was got up to a drivatar and honk. Sadly it wasn't returned
1. Seasons: I disagree. While yes they seem a bit pointless right now, FH4 showed how cool it was to have a map that changed based on seasons. Yeah people don't like racing when ice is down but that's the fun of it, having that challenge. 2. Certain Mods: IMO Aero needs to be reworked. I agree that it's annoying to be stuck with an ugly spoiler just to have rear aero tuning. Having the ability to adjust the aero regardless of spoiler would be nice, while making vehicles with active aero be unique. As for paints, it just needs a better UI to make it not seem as crowded. 3. Clothes and Emotes: Make clothes colorable and not separate from each other? Yes. Having emotes removed? No. Just ignore them. Let people be as silly as they want. 4. Cutscenes: Meh. If it went away, I wouldn't care. They do look pretty lazy compared to old stuff. 5: Jay: Don't talk down on my boi, Jay. I'll fight you. 6: Online Convoys: I've never really used the convoy systems. 7: Useless Cinematics: I mean I would say thats to add to the charm of Forza but meh, wouldn't care if it was removed. 8: Clubs: Yeah, remove them if its not gonna be integrated into the game. 9: Forzalink: Not doing any harm staying in the game, so keep em.
Cutscenes have been going downhill since fh2, but the worst downgrade has been in fh3, when they stopped becoming 1st person and zoomed the camera far out, resulting in a less personal experience. Plus fh5 adding a voice makes it even worse and less immersive, it makes it impossible to step into the shoes of your character because you are not that voice actor, it distances yourself from the experience. We need a silent protag and first person cutscenes.
A great way of improving traction by a huge amount, is to install snow tyres in winter, it was the secret to success in winter in FH4, and also in FH5, it gives you amazing traction even on snowy roads :) In FH4 they are called rally tyres or offroad tyres in spring summer and autumn.
The wood colors have a niche, for those making "Woody" variants of classic cars (which was a thing until the late 80s). Aside from that, they are limited in use. As for Steel paints, those are useless as you can make steel colors with aluminum paint just by making the base color darker.
the irritating thing about forza link for me is that along with anna (i think) its a required keybind, and my wheel doesnt really have space for it when i could use the button for something else. i literally never go online cause in fh5 its ass but they still make me have chat keybinds 🗿
A way you can fix the slow motion jumps is by joining online because that just gets rid of it. I do agree with everything you said though as always! Really entertaining, funny and awesome video as always!
The character customisation is very pointless in my eyes, especially because we hardly ever see our characters. That's why I never really bother with that stuff. All this is just for the loading screen and the "cutscenes"...
You’re pretty spot on expect for, convoys, you can play online lobbies with people and then invite them to you’re convoy really easily and even make it private it’s very simple if you have a big enough brain
My least favorite thing about forza horizon is the drivatars when your playing single player im sure a big amount of players would love to have a simple feature that would disable them so they dont run into you like you weren't even there
One other annoying feature is that when you are in online custom racing, you are slowed down or ghosted when you hit a wall. It is so annoying when you are in first place.
Imagine if the map was split on to 4 separate sections and the seasons rotated between the different areas of the map. I imagine it could help create more content too by making different races or routes for the same event dependent in the current season.
It makes me want to cry seeing the Forza wing and Forza bumper being the only options, plus there are cars that have spoilers, yet they don't give you the option to remove them
honestly i'd like if most things were removed and just replaced, theres so much stuff in the game now that it feels bloated and half of the content ive never even used, if fh6 uses the new engine that fm8 is using i hope they go back and rework the progression and gameplay in general, as the festival playlist doesnt feel worth coming back to the game for, and the progression is... not great
Actually, the diamond plate and wood textures have been used in some pretty neat ways. It's not often you'll see it, but I've seen a few super creative Rat'd out hot rod trucks with wood frame beds, with the rest of the body painted over and rusted, like the F-100, and the Bone Shaker. Looks really neat in the right application.
One thing I find really annoying is how long it takes for the pop ups to disappear when doing PR stunts. I don’t want to have to rewind 15 times to try and get the pop up to disappear so I can get the speed trap to actually track my speed
I had no trouble doing the PR stunts for winter. I just converted a Koenigsegg to AWD, bolted on rally suspension and winter tyres then let rip. All stunts were possible, no matter the season. If you struggled, then you were using the wrong vehicle.
@@themarauder6108 I'd say the wrong build. In every multiplayer game I play, there are lots of people turning their brain off and seing only the numbers : the slick tires give more handling in the stats => let's go in the snow with slick tires... This car has 1500 hp and 8.8 speed stat in C class => with that, I'll be the fastest on Cathedral circuit in Guanajuato (not)...
I think that for the seasons the only thing that I think needs doing is the ability to change seasons through the menu or something, so players don’t dread winter as much and when they do want the snow they can just change that within a click of a button. I was very surprised that horizon 4 didn’t do this when that first debuted
I actually use the wood colours, but only to make old style pickup trucks, like with the wood back, other than that it is pretty useless, and why even have leaves as a colour, I mean it could kind of look like rust for the brake calipers but tbh it is extremely useless imo... Great vid as always 👍
I don't know if I can take anyone seriously after hearing them say "Seasons in Horizon 5 are way better than horizon 4" To me, seasons in 5 feel completely and utterly pointless. They don't change my driving habits and I don't even notice them. The only time I know what season it is, is when it's Winter on one of the 3 volcano races, or when I see the puddle on Playa Azul Circuit in Wet Season. In 4, Spring was wet, Summer was hot and dry, Fall was beautiful, and Winter was a frozen hellscape. They all felt distinct and instantly recognizable. They tried to hype them up in 5 with tropical storms and sandstorms. But I never see them. And even when I do, they don't last. I guess though, we would both agree that Horizon 5 wouldn't be any different without them. Say what you will about driving in winter, but you'd be hard pressed to convince me that Mexico doesn't feel dead 90% of the time
Honestly use the steel paint/material a lot especially for rims but i will admit the hot wheels ones should have been one that you click on then have it pop to a selection of all of them rather than having a ton of them taking up more space
One of my biggest complaints is that super annoying sound that plays while the game is loading something online, you know the one. Every second for most of a minute it plays this annoying sound that I can't really describe
Just shows how little this dude knows about the community of this game, yeah aero need updating but not removed as some cars do benefit from certain aero, the special paint jobs are used but I agree the leaves one or wood one not many use it but then you'll get the bellend hunters who do, but then there's stuff he didn't touch on like the animations like paddle shifting, handbrake pulls that used to feel beast in the hoonicorn pulling the brake to drift, they've even stopped the turbo spawling up, the fact that at the end of a race the slow motion zooms in so you can't see the speedo, animation for fans on cars no longer works, the animation when you change car is only on new cars that's you've never drove, stuff like the bugs with the car menu glitchinh out so you can't see the cars, rewind not working properly all the time, come on man
Honestly, I like seasons, it makes the world evolve and change over time, and the also have themes for different holidays. And, biomes? There are like 6 of them in the game already? Sand dune Desert, The living desert, volcano, farmlands, arid hills, the city, tropic beach, swamp, jungle. What more could you possibly want? I don’t think the game needs more diversity, it already has that. And without seasons it would be even worse, that’s why I think the map in FH2 and FH3 got very boring over time. No hate, just my opinion.
what is the perfect feature you want in future updates? if you got one obviusly. do not agree with some points like the paint one (related to liveries and stuff), another point you make is the slowmotion every time you make a jump (in online freeroam that doesn't apply, is a feature in offline mode only), the seasons affect less than horizon 4 in terms of race conditions and winter is not there in the entire map but the thing you said about the biomes is a little bit... mmm let's say the biomes are already there but with minimum changes (compared to seasons in horizon 4, again), but the one point of the cutscenes is a huge downgrade in terms of immersion like you said. the game isn't perfect, it came out full ob bugs in the pc version, on the xbox one has some textures incorrectly placed on the highway and the endgame itself is pure void on the festival playlist. in the end i hope that playground games fix or change somethings of the game but not the entire 9 things you said, don't take me wrong.
Bro when you were talking about the RU-vid ads and how annoying they are I had to watch 2, 5 second long ads. And then you say “ that would be a good time for an ad” … Thanks 💀
ngl the new car cutscene isnt bad in itself its bad because of the bigger issue being progression, it would be cool if it was your new car you just bought and actually had to work for but because in forza its either a wheelspin car or just a car you bought without even paying attention to the price its just annoying
The color stuff I use the camo is good for two tones on trucks the hot wheel colors I use and the wood I use for like a woody so the colors I don’t see anything wrong with and it’s really not affecting anyone or anything so I don’t really see why they would need to remove it and I use the forza aero a lot but then again you might be the people who aways ram my into a wall or is in last place making the entire team lose the Seasonal race event Cause iT looks bad
Honestly, I don't agree with the sessons thing. I think it keeps the game more dynamic. And I completely disagree with the car mods thing. Forza aero is an essential part of online competitive racing and, unpopular opinion, it can look good on a lot of cars, especially the more modern sportscars and supercars, it brings that race car look to them. I think the character customization is fine as it is, there's plenty of it, yet if you don't need it just don't use it, it's not like it's annoying or anything (but I want clothing removed from wheelspins, yes). Those cinematics are absolutely pointless, awful and slow, one of the biggest problems with modern games in general, gets so frustrating. And Forza Link is fine. Not actually too useful, but just the fact that it's so cringe and random makes it kinda funny or idk fun to use I guess.
