"I gotta bring it again?" Too funny. I have to say, you are my very favorite watercolor teacher online. I've dabbled others but I keep comin back home to you. Thank you Louise for teaching me so much about watercolor, it's become an integral part of my life.
Dear Louise, Im in hospital recovering from a major operation and have to thank you for your bloopers making me laugh. ... even though it hurt.... LOL xxx😀😀😀😀😀
I love the way you get right to the material, no long winded explanations or fanfare. I know when i click on one of your very informative tutorials that I'm going to learn something interesting and useful. Thanks so much for sharing your time and knowledge.-Margie from OK
Your tutorials are beyond amazing, I was fortunate to find your channel. On this particular lesson, the information is valuable as usual but, the best part is when kitty cat walks in front of the camera and steals the show… loved it.
So few people break down the technical aspects of watercolor. This is incredibly helpful! Gee! I thought it was just me. Thanks for this! You are really funny, Louise. Love the outakes.
Killin it with your art and demos Louise. It's been a blast to watch you, and I've tried the mixing right on the paper, takes guts! Already can see the differences. Thank you for sharing your skills with us.
You are a wonderful accomplished artist with a sparkling twist of humour that I do so appreciate! Love and respect your instructional channel. Thank you ever so much.
Thank you so much reminding me of all these useful techniques I know, but sometimes forget to use. I like your paintings, which are so fresh and expressive.
Thank you Louise for the tips I loved the vanishing scrunched up paper towel !! my cat is prone to that and for biting the end of the brush while I paint ,perhaps she is trying to tell me it's her turn !! thank you for sharing these tips with us I am learning such a lot from your tutorials xx
Great techniques, thank you….always learn something new from you❤️. I think my biggest problem is i rush too much. I watch how gentle and delicate you are. You never seem to rush…..you take your time and always have such beautiful details 👍🏼
😂I love 💕 the furry assistant 🐈⬛! Thank you for sharing & explaining these wonderful techniques & tricks to add textures & interest to a painting. I am going to have to give some of those a try especially with my bird paintings.
I enjoy your videos and I always learn something. Love the 'out-takes' and kitty is an added attraction. I have 4 and they always want to participate, you know, help to make the bed, fold laundry, zig-zag in front of me when I'm walking, walk on my keyboard while I'm typing, etc.lol
LMBO at the ending!! LOVE it... thank you girl. At my age & ssooo quiet around here, i need a giggle. I enjoy your eye to detail. It seems you think like me in may ways.. you're encouraging me to back in the game. Iv'e used other mediums, for some reason i shy from this?! not sure why. I WANT the loose Free style. I want to get past the , well the other side of that. It does reflect in /from life doesn't it. Bless you. Jesus loves you & so do I
Thank you so much. After many years I am starting to paint again but was not doing too well with watercolors. You have really motivated me and shown some wonderful techniques.
Excellent video! I've watched several tutorials but yours seem to make the most sense. I love your work and the fact you show us how other artists also use the effects you're demonstrating. Thank you 🙏
Great tips! I loved seeing the examples in your final pieces. The unpredictable nature of them are nice counterpoints to your exceptional draftsmanship in the drawings. Love that big purple brush!
Thank you again …..loved this tutorial…..and just in the nick of time. I have a painting to start tomorrow that I need background ideas and there you were…..😊
I place 70% rubbing alcohol in a small sprayer bottle and use spritzes on my backgrounds. It also creates a quick drying effect that adds nice texture.
Thanks for sharing all of these delightful techniques, Louise! Aww sweet Leo has grown so much since I saw him last. He loves his mum and wants your attention. They always seem to want to be near us and "helpful" lol. Beautiful boy! 😍
I abandoned watercolours for a long time but now I found you and subbed- this is a great review for me and so I am excited to begin again. I've been working w. Japanese black ink and I have been looking for a good red ink to add on. Thanks in advance for anyone having a suggestion!
Another tool to use with your spray bottles is the Tim Holtz Splatter Brush. It gives you nice, similar size drops, depending on how hard or soft you flick it. You can also splatter paint with onto the watercolor.
Loved this video! Did the cling wrap (but way you used it better)! Now going to try some of these and salt done once but you are correct (timing & wetness) of paint matters! Ty!! Your paintings are remarkable!
very useful tips indeed and the demo is brilliant and clean...your paintings are fantastic Chaala Baagundi...I mean.... it is very nice.... in TELUGU language of Bhaarat southern state Andhra Pradesh
That was fun! I'm a few years into the excitement that is watercolour (with you, Louise, as a key mentor) so I've heard of all these techniques and have used most at least once. This was a zippy run-through showing techniques and results useful to me. I'm appreciating the work you put into all your vids here on RU-vid. The out-takes are perfect and so it the shirt (art?) you wear in this one. With thanks!
I like so many ideas grouped together, some I had forgotten. It is great to be reminded just to stir up old ideas. It is to easy to use the same techniques over and over. Thank you!
Thank you so much Louise, I really really enjoyed watching you show these different techniques and you art work is Superb and Beautiful too. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumb’s up too
I love this!! This reel was invaluable to helping me resolve a problem I had on painting I’m about to begin. Thank you!!! You share so many great lessons!! My fav !!❤
Nice ideas for backgrounds. Thank you for sharing🙏. This is the first video from you I watched but I will definitely come back for more😊. One thing I didn't understand and you didn't show the end result is the scribbling with a pencil onto wet watercolour. What would you use that for if I may ask? Greetings from Holland.
I’ve just come across you tutorial and really enjoyed. ❤ My paper is ALWAYS buckling when I do a watercolour even if I tape it down. . I notice you tape and staple . Can you please tell me exactly what you do to keep your artwork so flat. Thank you so much
I am in love with your artwork and the tutorials are so easy to understand. I am so glad I found you! Thanks for all the help... now, I gotta start experimenting. Question: what pound paper are you using? Candace ~ Eugene, OR
