I wanted to run wider wheels on my hawk so I picked out some 20" x 9" black steelies to run. #widewheels. They had a 5" backspace and stuck out too far so I decided to run a narrower rear end in the Stude #fabrication. The factory rear is a bit over 58" wide so I went with a 56" nine inch housing to bring them in an inch on each side. I also went with a disc brake kit and new ebrake cable kit to retain the stock ebrake setup. I just set the spring pads at 0 degrees when I welded them on at the factory width of 41" centered by the housing ends. The driveshaft and ujoint worked fine so no change there. The spring pad mounting kit I included the part # for allows you to move the rear end forward .5" which make the driveshaft yoke only move back 1" allowing you to keep your stock driveshaft. This focus is primarily on the rear diff side of things, I have swapped to a dual GM master cylinder and the brake stuff is a whole different topic that I will add a video later about #discbrake. If you want to keep it simple then just do rear drum brakes, I am not exactly sure if the stock cables will interface to them as I have not used the rear drum kit. This is meant to be an overview and not a step by step video just showing that its not a bad process and is much easier than other nine inch swaps I have done. Thanks for watching.
I have included a parts list from Speedway Motors that should have most everything you need to do the swap #speedwaymotors.

That's a sweet setup man, hopefully not too much longer until I have one in my Maverick.
