There is no scope for remaking these movies as these are very rooted to where these movies have been produced. Bollywood goes after movies which have more universal appeal
@Sai SAT Because common sense is not as common as we think. People will watch movies according to their standard. It's good to be underated than known as garbage. And I think most of the movies in the list are malayalam
@Sai SATyou are wrong I live in Madhya Pradesh where people are more fan of Telugu movies and its songs. Here Most of us are Allu Arjun Fan. We love butaaboma❤
I burst out laughing when they showed 'aadu oru bheegarajeeviyaanu' 😂. No one in bollywood can remake this one🔥😂. One of the most funniest movies in malayalam.
I think you have only watched Malayalam Films ... Bollywood have already made some good Nonsensical Comedy Movies way before Malayali Audience even have heard about them . So Please don't be like ''Pottakkinattil Kidakkunna Thavala''
@CRyoc Gamer yeah that dude is talented as fuck.. I saw his 'sudani from nigeria' too... Okay movie, but beautiful acting.. May even bring a tear out of you.
Yah they even stole thala Ajith viswaasam bgm for siddarth malhotra movie... Ajith movie Viswaasam released in 2019. Siddarth malhotra trailer also released in the last month's of the same year... What a shame can't they just ask the music director imman... Poor creativity of bollywood
Fahadh Faasil with interview with FC said, some Malalyam movies can never be made in Bollywood, because that place is a character itself. (like Idukki in Maheshinte), and hence he is scared to work in Bollywood, if he would fit in right or not. And I know many Marathi artists said the same.
You have to be a good dancer and all that aesthetic stuff to survive in bollywood. Mayalalees have 2 left feet of you watch their movies and it's ok, song and dance is part of every movie across India but it's not the most important that actors have to have good body, good dancer, handsome to become a successful actor.
True..... regional films standout cozz they have their essence that cannot be replicated just by remaking..... cause it is in everything....every scene....
Don't touch even tollywood some are not to remake like c/o kancherapalem, etc., and Malayalam movie maheshinte pratikaaram is already remaking in telugu umamaheswara uugrharupasiaya.
@Sai SAT not bald than your rayanikanth.. still acting with 20 yr girls with massive make up and wig.. do u even know your thalaphy vijay ia bald too.. he transplanted hair.. see him without make up.. don't bark.. fahd is bald as he appear.. he don't fool others by wig😆😆😆
The perfect example is 'manichithrathaazhu' where they have unintentionally destroyed the whole movie remaking into all possible Indian languages. The thought of it just makes me cringe! Arghhhhh
@@WranglerDude No, it isn't. The plot of Vertigo was adapted into Mannar Mathayi speaking. You might be talking about Psycho. But then, just becuuse it talks about multiple personality disorder, you can't say that Manichitrathazhu was an adaptation of Psycho. It was actually based on a tragedy that happened in the 19th century Travancore. The house where it happened still exists.
@@Manoj776 are you serious? It might be hit because people went behind 'superstar' Rajnikanth and not for the film or its plot. If you just want hits, please bloody stay away from Malayam films, it's never for you. Go for your 'superhits' bigil, Darbar blahblaahblahhh
yes malayalam movies are very good but at the same time they are very much local in flavor... meaning U can never remake a film thats relies too much on local culture... be it in any language not just malayalam... Tamil cinema is the best of both worlds... commerce and art mix well there
The only thing they can take is "do Naina" song rest they will degrade by filling plenty of masalas and item songs with some slang of remote villages where as non could stand a chance capturing 1% angamaly.
I have watched 96, Angamaly diaries, Kumblangi nights etc. And I will never watch the remakes of these jewel, why to go for brass if u have gold already. If we audience stop watching remakes they will never gonna ruin the original movies. I have heard bollywood has bought remake right of 96. They will ruin the innocence and mood of the movie .... Total movie is a feeling closed to ❤️.
The way things are going with the murder of our Sushi, everyone is boycotting these arseholes 😂 They'll be lucky to make any money. #BoycottStarKids #cbiornovote #CBIEnquiryForSushant #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput #OmShantiSushant
Correction: The Nanban poster is not to be included in this visual representation at 0:12. Apologies for the error. To read the list, click on the link: www.filmcompanion.in/features/bollywood-features/10-indian-films-we-hope-bollywood-does-not-remake-kumbalangi-nights-96-vijay-sethupathi-arjun-reddy/
96 has had a last-longing impact on me. The emotions portrayed by Krishnan and Sethupathi stayed with me for weeks. And what a lovely album. Can't imagine it being recreated in Hindi Cinema.
Bollywood doesn't even have a good script and their movies solely exist around flirting...but their attitude is like they are the best film makers ever...
But now I think this trend is changing because there has been some sensible movies in Bollywood in recent years..Some of them has got appreciated and some of them have never been heard of...Check out Tumbbad,Ship of thesus,Titli,Talvar,Raman Raghav 2.0
I had watched a lot of movies on recommendation of film companion, but I am recommending that you should add 2 more movies in that list, they are 1. Super Deluxe and 2. Care of Kancharapalem
I'm Tamil, but I like Malayalam movies more than Tamil in recent times .. I would have watched 200-250 Malayalam movies in last 8 years.. Reality, natural acting, innovative storylines and mirroring human emotions is what I like in Malayalam movies.
If they remake Kumbalangi nights, it will be my worst nightmare. Because, my friends, masterpieces are not made to be remade. That is my favourite Malayalam movie.
I have seen only 96 and Angmalay Diaries out of the nine movies, and I totally agree with Film companion. Bollywood should not even think of touching them. I remember what it did to Sairat. And looking forward to watch the rest of the movies mentioned in the list, looks intresting.
I think u wont understand aadu bcoz its a political satire on kerala politics so the meaning will b lost in translation but u can enjoy the physical comedy
The most interesting thing is that the new Malayalam movies which are celebrated by northern critics are nothing compared to the old movies of directors like Padmarajan,Bharathan,Adoor ,KV George,Sibi Malayill,Aravindan and more.. What if they happen to see all those gems??😍🤭
I really appreciate and love the effort the anchors of Film companion take to tell the names of South Indian and Other regional films. Being a South Indian, this gives me great happiness! Amidst all what is happening around us... the sense of inclusiveness is so heartwarming!! ❤️❤️❤️
No industry in the world has gutts to remake these Tamil movies, 1. Hey Ram 2. Ayirathil Oruvan 3. Visaranai 4. Super dealuxe 5. Pariyerum Perumaal 6. Dhasavataram 7. Virumaandi 8. Aruvi 9. Peranbu 10. Vishwaroopam 🔥OPEN CHALLANGE🔥
Many movies come and go but these movies are always close to our heart . Always....... But bro u left Anbe Sivam,Merkutodarchi Malai,ASURAN,Kaithi, Guna,Peranbu,Otha serupu,
"There is no Anantanag either" ♥️ that was a surprise but a pleasant one!! Glad FC noticed Sarakari 😊 Also loved the list..proud to say watched all of them. Loving your contents nowadays way too much, from recognising lyricists to video roasting bollywood remakes. Impressed!! Could you interview Anna Ben ? Promising talent and great choice of films - kumbalangi nights, Helen and Kappela Cheers!!
I'm in the content development industry and I write myself and honestly if you'd ask me I can pitch quite a few movies like maayandi but the problem with Bollywood is that they just don't want such scripts and they don't even entertain if you go to them with such scripts. I have seen my scripts getting tossed in the dustbin in front of my eyes.
You are in the wrong industry then. Try somewhere else. Let it dissolve into the mess it is. People like you are only slowing it down. Let the good writers and technicians like you start an industry on your own from scratch after that. Obviously you won't have the financial backing of the randomvalas, gigolos and the D company, but once you get the gears in place and make good content, it will get noticed.
Super Deluxe should also have been included in this.. out of the 9 movies I have only watched Bakita Byaktigoto.. that friggin movie was mystical.. it just hits you in a different way.. a must watch and will also try to watch the rest of 8 films in the list.
It's not because Bollywood got no talented Filmmakers ... It's because of the audiences taste and preference ..and there is an issue of aesthetic loss when got translated to one language/ culture to other ...Think of how disastrous it would be if Gangs of Wasseypur got remade into south indian Film industry , say it in Malayalam ...( NB.Kumblangi Night is a world cinema , it can me made into any language ....Films like "Maheshinte Prathikaram " are difficult to remade )
Movies like gangs of Wasseypur do exist in south. I'm not sure if in Malayalam industry. Not the same, but not disastrous. I guess one needs to adapt to the local aesthetic without changing the storyline. And should not try to make it massy when the film is classy and vice versa. For example, when Sairat remake Dhadak, was made more like a massy movie, it lost the charm and class of Sairat.
Do watch Kammatipaadam..obviously not comparing to Gangs of Wasseypur, but it got the elements..also considering that Kammatippadam was directed by Rajeev Ravi who is Anurag Kashyap's trusted cinematographer and it was him who did the cinematography of GoW also
Even most of the hindi movies they make display bad acting and even worse screen play. Bollywood is sold out to goons and not artists. Looks over brains.
I watched 'Sarkari hiriya praathamika shaale, Kasaragodu' with my friends (I paid for it..😂)..Well, the 'friends' were my schoolmates with whom I had lost touch for many years.. And the movie brought back so many sweet memories that we had while studying in South Canara .Well, the kannada used/spoken in South Canara is quite unique and I think it's the sweetest blend/slang of kannada you'll ever encounter(that's mainly bcz it's super polite n innocent unlike other slangs). I don't think anyone can reproduce that masterpiece..
This could be the first time i took screenshots of a youtube video's comment section just to make a list of movies, some i have seen and some i haven't even heard about but curious to see
Movie rights to almost all malayalam movies are bought by bollywood or any other industry, but never made because not of technicalities or change of flavour or ideologies but there are no actors to play the supporting characters, yes not main characters, but secondary characters in malayalam movies are so well scripted and developed that a seperate movie could be made of these support characters.that is to say if the camera follows a supporting character a whole new story can be told of them. Movies like amen, mahesh, annayum rasoolum, sudani and soo many more have so much life in that world because of the characters that inhibat it. Its not jus a hero-heroine movie any more but movies of people's lives. These stories in malayalam movies are not new either they have been told before but the execution is so fresh and well packaged that it lingers in your mind after awhile
I watched Bakita Byaktigato in theater, which was almost empty. The film ran for almost 1 week before being shed off by the cinema halls. But that few hrs with almost 90% of the hall empty, was the best part of my life..and that part is called as the happiness. If bollywood ever made the remake of thay gem I would definitely leave Earth...that movie is much more than National Award.
This I really want in Hindi. Same director, with Rani Mukerji and R. Madhavan. There are some movies you want larger audience to see. Remember Saathiyaa made perfectly in Hindi
Overrated man. It didn't work in telugu. The same director made it in Telugu ams haven't changed anything and still it didn't work. Vijay Sethupathi is the main reason why it became a blockbuster and Trisha killed it too.
To all those wondering about Malayalam movies .. We have an official set of awards for bad, stupid, illogical movies, acting and a set of insane categories called the Kerala coconut film awards. It is like the razzies where even top actors, directors and technicians come in person to claim it. Very funny. And because of such things. Everyone is aware of the quality needed to be maintained. I don't think such a concept is even possible in Bollywood
@@naveenharidas941 It's literally not about boycotting. Most of Bollywood's products cater to North India, of which a big population resides in the cow belt and is generally stupid AF. They want shit like Sooryavanshi
Angamaly Diaries remake in Marathi has trailer or so up in RU-vid, and it's cringe as hell. And btw, who was the one who came up with the list, Malayalam just fills the list.😂
Shakeela father - Chand Basha was from Andhra Pradesh - She was not a Tamil lady. Tamil actress acted very less Malayalam movies compared to the Malayalam actresses in Kollywood. B-grade Actresses like Devika, Sajini, Babilona etc were from Kerala. I will list lot of actresses who did B-grade movies from Kerala and AP.
@@ashwin6536 Shakila did schooling in Chennai so obviously she knows Tamil more than Telugu. Her family settled in Chennai when she was young. Babilona is from Kerala www.google.com/amp/s/nettv4u.com/amp/celebrity/kannada/movie-actress/babilona - see this link - She is a Keralite Vishal reddy also speaks Tamil Gautham Vasudev Menon also speaks Tamil - Does that mean he is a Tamil guy? 😂
" *sakrari hiriya prathamika shaale kasaragodu* " was back to school for me, reminded me of my school days, beautiful acting by everyone and a gem like ananth nag in this movie is cherry on cake, please bollywood you can't give me same feelings so DON'T REMAKE IT.
96 should be remade in Bollywood. These days they do need films like that, to understand love can be expressed in a more powerful way without liplocks!
While 96 is been already remade in other languages in south, I would really want this movie to be remade in Hindi with Rani Mukerji and R. Madhavan but with the same director. What a film and I do want it to be in Hindi.
96 can be remade into any language. It's a story that can be transported into any language. These guys are just pretending that they care about regional films especially south Indian films, which they haven't grown up watching like me. Rani mukherjee and Maddie in a remake of 96 😍. That's a great one mate.
96 movie was not a hit in any languages other than Tamil. I guess the actors can't capture the innocence and love captured by Trisha and sethupathi..but R.madhavan can pull it off I guess
I'm still mourning the horrific massacre of 'Bhuter Bhobishot' by Bollywood! I wonder if anyone else can turn one of edgiest, extremely subtle and layered storytelling to absolutely unwatchable piece of garbage!!
I think bollywood simply lacks the apathy, investment and maturity needed to remake 96. Doesn't necessarily mean that bollywood hasn't made mature movies, but it generally hasn't when it comes to romantic/tragedy movies and especially commercial one at that.
@Gargee Basak Actually having songs or dance is not a problem as long as it goes with the flow of the movie. I only like three romantic movies made by bollywood till now. Veer Zaara, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Hasee Toh Phasee. All of em had multiple song & dance but never felt unnecessary
A 96 without Sethupathi is unimaginable. It wouldn't have worked originally too if not for him. He is the heart and the soul of the movie. Well then but..he is the heart and the soul of all the movies he does...
I think most of the outside people wont understand aadu bcoz its a political satire on kerala politics so the meaning will b lost in translation but u can enjoy the physical comedy
Nobody can't act like Vijay Sethupathi in 96. His acting is indeed natural. One of the funniest movies of Malayalam Industry Aadu can't be remaked as Bollywood is lacking in comedians, only they know how to enlist in 500 crore clubs and more.
It was almost the 8 South Indian Films We Hope Bollywood Does Not Remake. Because we also had gem-like- 1. Nagarkirtan, 2. Kedara- The Songs of Silence, 3. Village Rockstars (2017), 4. Shareek (2015)
#9 - SHPH Kasargood cannot be remade in any south indian language as well. It is coupled with the culture, language of the actual place - kasargood. Great movie. I cant imagine Bollywood making this kinda movie in my lifetime. 😂
Obviously Kannathil mutthamittal can't be remade in any language, not for its genius acting, great making but the relativity of the story is as that u can only do that in Tamil srilanka backdrop. If Bollywood tries it with Indo pak backdrop, then also the flavour differs. This madhavan movie script is definitely unique one. So remove that in your "9 movies list".
