million thank you. i am tired of hearing how easy it it is to be my own boss, they dont realize that i bust my ass off, i hustle from 5 to 9 and extra mile. but i can not get mad
Awesome video as always. I think we are lucky in the way that we live in a time where it is easier to start a business and reach a global audience than ever before. Other than that, "luck" is made from hard work.
I agree across the board with the exception of “luck.” Luck - success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one's own actions. Emphasis on “chance” vs. action. Mr. “Lucky 🍀” gets credit when in reality it was Mr. or Mrs. “.......” who was grinding, making contacts, making content, and marketing. Where’s does “chance” play into this equation? Great content my brother, but please avoid the use of the word “luck.” He, Mr.Luck, deserves zero credit. Rremember your comment about Conrad and missing BDays etc.? That’s not luck, that’s vision and determination. Take care my man.
Nobody I know is going into being an entrepreneur, but every single one of them is either SAYING, "I don't have the patience" or "I don't have enough money", I would talk the second people into the fact very little money is needed but they are old people set in their ways who smack you if you argue with them, or tell them they are wrong.
The speech with the class of entrepreneurs at the Texas university would be interesting to see, also Pat, what are your views of entrepreneurship in college/university? - as always great video.
Good am aware of this misconception way back and I am not letting it affect me. Thanks Patrick but I must say it's hard to catch up with your videos for sometime now. seems yo now release more than 2 videos a week or am I the problem.
Entrepreneurs aren't born they're made. You don't have to cheat or steal to get to the top. You create your luck through hard work. You can't be selfish if you are the leader of an organization. Execution is the game not your idea. Don't let capital be the thing that keeps you from putting in the work. You make connections by working hard so people take notice of you. you can start part time. You become the customer's boss.
If someone say entrepreneurs are born, instead of denying it. I’ll just say, well I guess I was born an entrepreneur, sorry dude hope you get born an entrepreneur in your next life, if you believe such things.
why raising capital, or even worst, start a buisness on credit. guys trust me, find yourself milk cow thats gonna fund you to start an modest entreprise. 20 000 $ is enough and a good milk cow can provide you with that in 3 months.
When you said "I almost was convinced by my family, friends, and many other media" wow this is literally what im going through right now. Especially my family, they think i dont have a chance and think that Im headed for failure. Its tough Pat
LOVE #9 - In Jamaica a lot of Entrepreneurs believe these particularly number 9. The mantra of our "Entrepreneurs" is "I'm my own boss", many do not understand that real ENtrepreneurs are SERVANT, we serve hundreds of people in COMMUNITIES, STATES, OUR COUNTRY and INTERNATIONAL COUNTRIES. We aim to solve problems for people, problems we ourselves have and hated. We work for more people than the average person because if you are an employee you only work for your boss, Entrepreneurs work for tens, hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands and even millions of people. Mark Zuckerberg for instance works for 1.2 BILLION people. We call this the paradox of entrepreneurship. Valuetainment#1
When I think about it, these issues are deep. It makes sense when Patrick explained but still something inside pulling me off. This is the difference between knowing and believing! Thanks for the great video. Love from Paris
1. Entrepreneurship can be learned. 2. Being honest is a choice. 3. You have to take action. 4. An entrepreneur creates revenue for other people. 5. There are many great ideas out there, execution is the issue. 6. One's reputation and track record attracts the capital. 7. Connections are a by-product of a lot of work and people seeing you are working hard. 8. Start a business part time and see how people react to your product. 9. As an entrepreneur one has to support a lot of people.
Recently discovered your channel -- awesome videos really. I'm also happy that you release 2 videos a week. However seems like you've been releasing more than that -- is that your strategy going forward? Don't you think releasing 2 vids a week is better? Making your subs "look forward" to your videos would give you more total views, maybe. When there are many videos being uploaded it's harder to keep up (especially because your viewers get busy working hard!) therefore there's less "looking forward" factor.
Yea I guess no one can work too hard to not have 10-15 minutes to watch a daily video about entrepreneurship. Counts as education time. Might actually be a good ritual to keep up :)
"You can't be selfish as an Entrepreneur"~Patrick Bet-David Thank you. We have made a decision to watch all your videos, think about them and leave our thoughts. We will leave the hashtag #Valuetainment followed by a number. This will be #Valuetainment1

#3 I read Elon Musk's book: www.amazon.com/Elon-Musk-Billionaire-SpaceX-Shaping-ebook/dp/B00SIDCSWY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1504490310&sr=8-1&keywords=Elon+musk He had so many setbacks and difficulties before. Now, he is known as one of the best entrepreneurs of our time. When people say "successful entrepreneurs just got lucky", they are partially correct. But, they assume people like Elon got "lucky" on their first try. They don't realise how hard Elon worked before he got "lucky."
You know, stealing is pretty simple, but cheating can be a pretty nebulous concept. Those shortcuts for instance - which are cheating, and which are simply choosing the smarter path? One person going to college for four years to get an MBA might well feel someone who's found a mentor and progressed faster than they did in one or two years to be a cheater.
Yeah that's right. My integrity and work ethic and the time i have spent with my leaders that didn't know and later willing to develop and support a uneducated Street kid with o manners. Drama oriented. saw how I really i really am. That validates it. Yes.
Hey pat! Quick question, if you were offered to work at a top 5 position in a company like Tesla, amazon or any that inspire you, Would you consider starting a career all over again?
Excellent points made here. Each one had power. I like #2 and #4 because most successful entrepreneurs want to add value to the world and want to leave it better than they found it. Not saying they are perfect saints but certainly aren't crooked cheaters!
Hello Patrick! I just wanted to take the time to thank you for all the great advice you have shared with me by making these videos! I cant thank you enough, keep it up, have a wonderful day! Emil
Hey Pat, How do I deal with a non efficient Co-founder. I saw the Work ethics video and I am really upset with the effort my co-founder buddy is putting into the company. I work hard, I learn stuffs all day, about management, technology, but all he does is come up with excuses and procrastinates about working. rarely comes to the office and this is leaving a terrible impact on other employees. Some help would be really great.
Patrick always lives up to his branding. All of these videos provide value and they are entertaining. Thanks for caring enough to make these videos. Thanks for caring about entrepreneurs.
Comment #4 I never thought I'd be a salesperson and I've done it for years now. I've never thought I wanted to do my own business and I feel like I'm made for it now. I did car sales and I never cheated anyone. I had to work harder but life isn't fair. My parents didn't speak English very well and people took advantage of that. I'm not going to be a POS. I'm going to make sure I work with best people with great hearts and great work ethics. I'll have to make a solid business before I bring anyone in. It was worth it in the end and I moved on from the industry. - Tom
Hey, Patrick. I'm come from Brasil and I really like ur videos!! U r amazing!! Let me ask one thing for you. Could u please speake slowlier? Sometimes I dont understand what you are saying hehe I will be very grateful. What about The pillow Campaign? I dont got it everything. See ya man.
I want to become and entrepreneur really bad. But I don't know what business to start. How can I find out what business is destined for me? And good video, Valuetainment😎
First, I wouldn't put the weight of a "destined" business on your shoulders at the start. Your first good idea won't always be the best one. I'd ask yourself some key question: What do you enjoy? What are you good at? What in the world are you tired of seeing? Are there people you want to help? What kind of life do you want to live? What if money wasn't an issue...what businesses would you start? Let me know if those questions help at all. You want more help with this get in touch!
How to minimise or eliminate risks in your own business? - there has to be ways and systems to achieving this, would you agree Pat - video idea? Oh and another thing, sorry for the multiple comments, it's just that I'm current viewing your video at the same time and commenting straight away instead of after your video. Hope you don't mind or anyone else.
That is a great question! And there are ways to mitigate risk. And risk is sometimes subjective and specific to the person so what is risky for you may not be for me. Will also depend on the business you're in.
New Future Builder - Absolutely agree with you, it does depend on the industry that a business is in, there are some general risks that can really be applied to anyone who is in business. Risks of both yourself and the business.
Awesome video Patrick! #7 is so true. Many people feel like they can't get started for so many reasons but having initial connections is a myth that is not enough addressed. Not everybody starts with friends and family from Ivy leagues schools or top business people to help them out. This one is like the hidden excuse people are secretly talking about. Great job mentioning it!
