@@NiaraAlexisgirl do you and live. Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous in any stage. I still perm and love my results. Many naturals wanna come back but won’t admit it. They too tired up keeping their natural, they’re afraid to even wash it. Wasting a ton of Money on products.
@@_andelrxses_just because someone wants to do something with their hair that you personally wouldn’t does not mean it’s ok to be rude ! This is common sense
Each to their own! All my hair broke off when I was relaxed bc caring for it was so hard for me. Being natural is much easier for me personally, but it's whatever works for everyone :)
I agree. But when some get older the hair thins and the relaxer takes a toll on the hair. It’s beautiful. Thanks for the tutorial and thanks for this great, kind comment!
I’m all for people doing what they want with their hair . I went back in fourth for years. The only issue is relaxed hair always finds a way to break off. People go natural , grow their hair long finally then relax it and your back at square one. I’d suggest u do what she’s doing a stretch those relaxers out.
I've been on this planet for 34 years now and, for the life of me, I've *never* been able to grasp why black women are so vile to each other? We preach "black girl magic," and sisterly love, but it's not giving that at all. On any given hair video-natural, relaxed, wigs/weaves, locs, whatever-you'll find black women, arguing in the comment sections, about what *other* women choose to do with *their* hair; black women mocking/putting down other black women, for what? It's very disturbing, honestly. I'm sorry that you've received such unnecessarily negative feedback. You, and your hair, are absolutely beautiful-and I wish you nothing but all the happiness in the world ❤
When I was relaxing my hair I got my touch ups every 6-8 weeks. Maybe that's why I had female problems. She's only retouching every 9 months, I hope this keeps her in the safe zone.
Hey, If it's not too personal to share, what kind of female problems did you have? Were they caused by relaxing your hair or was it the products you used? Thanks✨️
Well there's a whole class action lawsuit against hair relaxers and it causing reproductive issues among other issues as well. Also the only safe zone is not to use relaxers.
If you don’t mind sharing what specific problems were you having…I recently started relaxing and my cycle changed…I am menopausal age so that may be it but it also coincides with me relaxing my hair….please share your symptoms🙏🏾
Really pretty, beautifull hair. I just relaxed my hair from 100% natural. Relaxed for half of the time suggested. The texture came out magnificent!. Exactly what I was hoping for. Not straight or bonw straight, but like blow dried Yaki straight wuth some body left on them. I have not used any heat on it. Just mouse after deep conditioning so it is not weighted down. The shine and sleek without the bone straight is what I was going for. I wear it free or in a sleek ponytail. This is the best style and PROTECTION that I, PERSONALLY ever achieved with my hair. Protective styles, braiding and weaves caused me so much breakage and damage... were not protecting my hair. My hair simply is at its best when it is free, in the air free and conditioned without a ton of oily surcharge of products. I wash once a week but spray purified water everyday. 😊
It still looks so healthy and gorgeous. Not all chemical treatments cause bad damage. As long as the person knows what they're doing and not to do it too often, like this creator, you can get beautiful results like hers!!!!
I don’t think people understand how much of a blessing that is for you not to have any products in your hair and for you to do all what you did in your hair is still shiny, beautiful, healthy, bouncy, flow and full 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾‼️
I’ve been relaxed for 15 years and I recently decided to go natural. As my hair grows I started to notice it take just as long as if I was natural except I had to be more careful because it’s more fragile obviously because it’s relaxed. Just didn’t make sense to continue. Through being relaxed I’ve also learned how to care for my hair both the natural new growth and the relaxed hair. I’m finally ready to be natural and I’m happy that I’ve finally come to this point. This is what’s worked for me for years and I came to my own conclusions about making a change when it no longer benefitted me. Even now that I’m transitioning, I notice there are things that work for me that the natural hair community would frown upon. I say this to say do what works for you PERIOD. whether you’re natural or relaxed or in between. Listen to your hair and respond accordingly. Healthy hair comes in many forms. Just so you. ❤
I love this for you. I get so sick of people. Truth is, some people's hair does better when the cuticle is sealed, therefore allowing for maximum porosity. I'm born of an Eritrean Djiboutian mother and a Dominican Venezuelan father. AND wearing my hair in it's natural state and air drying it really dries my ends no matter what hair oils I use we also do a mask however my hair does better when I keep it straight with the hair shaft sealed.
I don’t think people understand that EVEN WITH a semi rinse a lot of peoples hair STILL dosent shine like that! Aside from the shine, it’s thick, full , and still has the ability to maintain volume. So yes her hair was definitely hairing 😍😍
Be careful as your cuticles are open from taking your braids down. It’s best to wait a week or two before you apply relaxer. However it does look nice 👍🏽 follow up with a protein conditioner the next time you wash your hair.
@@rondijohnson7034 cuticles of the hair strands. A good hairdresser would refuse to apply a hair relaxer when you have just taken down braids. Best of luck.x
Long term use of relaxer was linked to high risk of uterine cancer in postmenopausal women. I think there was a very recent study on this from UK or US
I just got a relaxer for the first time and I had no idea how to style and manage it. Your video gave me so much hope and insight! Btw your hair is so beautiful 😍
I like this nice lady as a person. She seems really sweet and caring. I don’t care if she is relaxed and I am natural. I think she is beautiful and her hair. I get these results without a relaxer, but some people can’t. Not saying that she couldn’t. We should not judge and all I know is that her personality radiates from even behind a screen. ❤
I go every 3 months. And thats a stretch. If I go any longer...my hair starts to break off. Having kinky 4c hair with bone straight ends is rough for me even at 10 weeks😂😂 but your experience may be different....good luck😊💕 ❤
True..my last relaxer was February 2023. And I don't feel like I need a retouch yet. And that was after 10 years relaxer free, I was so over it. Relaxed hair so much easier for me and way less shedding.
Times like this I MISS relaxer!! I'm a wash and go girl, so heat can't touch my strands too often cause my curls gotta be juicy at all times lol, so this look has to be shelved and I hate that heat changes our curls 😢😢😢
Try not to let the relaxer touch your scalp. There’s a story about, a police officer. She stopped using relaxers the coroner showed her each of the black women brains had discoloration on the brain from relaxers, the non relaxed black women didn’t. The story is on RU-vid, her testimony.
Your hair is beautiful and you're living your best life for you!! I use the Just for Me kiddie texturizer and straighten every 3-6 months. Just like you, I put my hair in protective styles or just wear corn rows endlessly with wigs lol. But when my hair needs to come out, people keep asking if I'm wearing a wig lol. Your hair is beautiful-ah!! Love it! ❤
Omg!!! Beautiful! 😍 Have you thought about using a texture manageability kit? It’s a much healthier option, and I got great results! It’s what I use when I want to go straight but then conform back to my curls. Not hating on the relaxers either I just always talk about this option because no one seems to know about it? You’re gorgeous, your hair is gorgeous and looks healthy! 🩷 Healthy hair over everything! 💁🏾♀️
@mebeautyboss2002 Self hate😂😂😂 Don't you wax your vagina? Why don't you let it grow out? Aren't you also self- hating by getting waxes or shaving? Let ALL that natural how grow and not just what's on top of your head.
Girl, your hair is beautiful! I would love to know what brand of flat iron you used... mine doesn't get too hot and as a result doesn't straighten my hair as well as i would like
Some of y’all need to stop casting judgments and just compliment the girl on how bomb her hair is and how beautiful the outcome was 😍 It is what it is and people make their own choices still, WITHOUT needing to be hollered at about that choice 🙄
You did a great relaxer! I’m a hairstylist and to keep some Body in your hair this is good and your hair isn’t as fragile at this texture versus being damn near bone straight! This was good!
It’s ok to give ppl information that maybe they haven’t heard of because I guarantee if we had that information back in the day our parents would have made a better decision regarding our hair
@@ScreamTatumRiley there’s a difference between giving information versus bullying someone into being natural who has done their hair relaxed for years .
Here come the perm police🙄. What goes for one, doesnt go for all bw. Yall out in these comments relaxer shaming..its gross. We can do whatever we want with our hair. Yet you dont like when people weave shame ,or natural shame...we need to do better with supporting whatever we do with our hair. Yall think these caps or glueing your whole head is healthy?? I mean what are we really dieing from.. heart disease/stroke/hbp or a perm?? Yall worried about the wrong thing. Its just another opportunity to judge another bw choices.
I love seeing how everyone is loving their crowns. I’m a loc’d lady but I still watch natural and relaxed hair tutorials lol. Your hair is gorgeous and looks so well cared for ❣️✨
@@rosseryankeegirlAn arm, a leg, and my mental health. No, I loved being natural, but I just didn't love that it lacked efficient versatility. I work a 9-5, my time is limited.
I think our textures are similar I’ve been on and off with relaxers but it seems like my hair is being very stagnant I can’t get past this tapered cut and I’m trying to chill on relaxers but it kinda seems like that’s the only thing that helped my hair absorb products otherwise it’s just dry and brittle I know this isn’t a growth video but yours seems to be healthy glowing and growing maybe I’ll figure it out 1 day
