That fragrance is literally “old money” frag. So classy and unique… and long lasting. I’ve sampled it in mid February of this year and to this day i have a paper strip of Burlington 1819 and I can still smell it.
Declaration d'un soir was my first rose fragrance, so love it. This Got me into more rose based scents such as Lyric and more recently Manrose by Etro, one I recommend trying.
Papilefiko has indeed been out for around 14 months now I want to say, came out with Nishane's TCC (Time Capsule collection) with 3 other scents, incl. Tero which is a play on the profile offered by "Crush on Me" from Unique'e Luxury, "Kredo" which is a pretty standard oud scent in the ballpark of Tom Ford "Oud Wood", and "Tempfluo" which is a feminine bubblegum floral that is comparable to the profile that most people recognize as YSL "Libre". I wouldn't comp Papilefiko to DesirToxic, I remember when I first sprayed it and it actually reminded me of Enclave, but as I became more familiar with it, I began to notice nuances that reminded me of Penhaligons' DNA. If anything, I'd say it fits somewhere between a sweet-aromatic like Layton/DesirToxic and a sweetened-fougere like Apex.
Love midsummer dream for a summer night. Has a dreamlike quality, so hard to describe, ethereal. That Roja quality is just out of this world. Really great picks here. Thanks for putting me on to Bleu Noir EDP! A few that didn’t make the list I really enjoy on summer nights are Bleu de Chanel Parfum, YSL Y Le Parfum, Terre D’Hermes Parfum, ADP Colonia Essenza. and L’homme Ideal the original for summer nights! I am waiting on Isola Blu which if like the original is my top summer night fragrance.
A midsummer dream, a hidden gem. I do find myself translating (transposing?) what "summer" means based on geographical location, as I live in a VERY hot and humid place, so my summers don't have much in common with UK summers and those of my friends that live further up north...I just have to go light on the trigger. Lovely fragrance indeed, and I'll eventually go from the 7.5 ml to the 100ml.
Good video, lots of interesting stuff to check especially the Brioni - my favorite neck-tie brand. Love Beau de Jour, it is the only one I have from this video.
Amazing list man. Im not a big fan of hot weather either because my favorite fragrance genre is oriental. I definitely need to check out the house of Brioni.
A Midsummer Dream is beautiful but yes it might be nighttime wear considering i love Burlington1819 which is my morning fragrance to pair with this. Midsummer Dream's elemi is just to die for as to my nose its the star but the brew is welldone. Xerjoff Uden seems interesting based on note breakdown and now that you included it in a list, im down for it. That coffee, rum & citrus combo really makes me that much curious. I only have erba pura from the house. Then theres declaration dun soir which to me is the best rose fragrance for men who are scared of florals especially rose. I really think cartier has borderline entry level niche quality scents. Great list JC. I hope more subs on your way to 100k. Goodluck and well support you all the way!
Good Timing, looking for a fragrance to wear to a Spring Gala at a Botanic Garden in 2 weeks. Im all ears. I have Auod Lemon Mint on Deck, or was thinking of Lafayette Streeet from Bond No. 9. Naxos may not fit the weather. Edit- I actuality wore elixr to this event last year. Got compliments, but a bit scared of weraingbit in heat again. Also think of Holidays by Mancera.
Smelt Papilefiko for the first time this past weekend and was immediately taken to another house, Tom Ford, to me it is very resinous and aromatic. It might not work well in the Texas summer evenings outdoors but I could see it working great indoors. I am looking forward to trying the Nishane X versions and also Hacivat Oud! So happy that Brioni EDP Intense is getting some love here. Class in a bottle - and some of the most palatable oud I've smelt... Love it. EDIT: No Enclave this time around? I'm guessing you wanted to feature other stuff? :)
@@stayfreshproductions It’s great but I don’t get any freshness. It’s my skin chemistry, fresh scents don’t project off my skin sometimes. I love the elixer, best release from Dior in ten years at least.
Hey bro I know you also vouch for Renaissance by Xerjoff… which I have but also interested in Uden. Is it redundant both being Citrus frags from the house ? I heard Uden overdose is great as well.
@@sergemann5951 The EDP smells more intense and deep. The performance is way better. The dry down is great. It is exactly what a great fougere should be. Timeless, classy and under appreciated I think.
@@sergemann5951 I would bet on the Parfum more for a datenight scent....I think that's where it would shine more.The EDP is for sure a great summer frag though
@@sergemann5951 I'd say EDP is more universal, you're gonna pull it off most situations. It's clean, musky and little bit woody thanks to the vetiver. It's not a youthfull scent, I bet Justin would classify it as a "man" fragrance. Parfum is even more powdery and it's definitely heavier and richer, its often compared to Valentino Uomo.

Papilefiko means suffocating hummingbirds...I looked it up 🥲🤣🤣😁. Thank you for the info on the roja perfume, I had always wondered what that sweeter piney smell was. Good to know! I still haven't smelled the Cartier one, but I'm looking forward to getting my nose on all of these!. I just got the uden sample some looking forward to that as well! :-) also, fragrancebuy is the bestest one 😁👍👍👍
I am a little confused by the coffe note in Uden I can’t make it out. But I like everything else about it. It’s alluring and a nice addition to anyone’s collection. Xerjoff house I haven’t lost at blind buying. The only fragrance that choked my wife out was casamorati doce almafi because I. Wore it to bed one night and she had to sleep at the opposite side of bed because it was soo strong 💪🏽 I woke up at 3am to shower the fragrance off the best I could. She said it smelled like gemadas taste - egg nogg .

I had the opportunity to pickup a tester Declaration d'un Soir for $55 from fragrancenet, about a year and a half ago, but passed on the opportunity. I regretted it for a bit but came to the conclusion that it just wasn't meant to be.
I have tried NR bleu noir edp and honestly i don't get much of it's ,,complexity'' as some describe it. In the opening it has that juicy spiceness but after that it's plain clean slithly soapy musk. Am I alone or is it just that my nose hasn't developed enough yet?
Btw, forgot to mention my SOTD...Oligarch EDP...Had to go into the office and it certainly helps convey a certain something...I was fortunate to get it 2-3 years ago before the overseas conflict.
@@stayfreshproductions Nice! I smelled it a few months back, and find myself thinking about it still. That precious woods smell was enticing.. that dry, deep, sauna-like aroma. I find I really like specific challenging woods scents, I'll need to grab a sample soon. I want to get closer to that damp forest smell lol
Oh no, not Sauvage Elixir on summer. Maybe in countries that have a bit colder summer but for example in my country where in night temperature can get as high as 22-23-24 degrees celsius (72-73 fahrenheit) that would be a nuclear explosion at night.
I had to hit myself with some D'un Soir after my evening shower to ponder what the BBQ sauce comment might be about. I 100% don't get it. Haha. I think whoever posted that just doesn't have much experience with sharp rose and spices in fragrances, so their brain interpreted the sharpness as something similar to the vinegar in bbq sauce. That's a funny one...
I believe it’s his favorite from Parfums De Marly. He talked about it in another summer day and night fragrance video from a year or two ago. Grace also loved it I remember. She said it’s sexy and rated it like an 8.5 or higher
It’s does smell like Wendi’s BBQ sauce for a split second and that almost ruined it for me. But then it changes and does it’s thing. I remember that video, almost killed that scent for me.
You know what's good about your content, out of the ordinary suggestions. Tired of hearing about the same scents over and over again, you do some of that bit throw in some great different choices.
Look here man, I don't wanna see nothing from Nishane. One of your fellow RU-vid fragrance folks highly recommended Nishane Hacivat, so I was like cool blind buy. Hacivat smelled like a$$! It didn't even last 24hrs in my house, and left a bad taste in my mouth...
