9 Secrets and Features on the Civetta Bolide! (BeamNG) 

Convertible body structure must be stronger than the coupe structure. Therefore convertibles (or targas) have a heavier body.

The reason is different: the Bolide has a tub chassis, on which the center part of the body attaches. That center part is separate from the tub, hence why you can remove it and add it on its own. So it makes no difference in the structural integrity of the tub, it just weighs a bit more or less, with the Targa body also being a bit less stiff than the Coupe one, naturally, since older convertibles have always been a bit more elastic (for lack of a better word) than their non-convertible counterparts. The Scintilla's chassis (talking about the front part, with the passenger cabin) is a hybrid construction, combining both the tub and the classic spaceframe chassis technologies (plus a single removable subframe for the whole rear part, instead of two removable subframes for the front and the rear of the Bolide), but the Coupe and Spyder bodies attaching on it have different structures around the A-Pillars - the Spyder structure has to be reinforced (hence why it's heavier than the Coupe one), for being able to withstand the moving weight of the Gullwing doors with a single hinge mounting point behind the front wheels (the Coupe body has one more hinge mounting point, on either side of the center part of the roof). Also, unlike the Bolide, the body of the Scintilla cannot be removed from the main chassis. Plus, the Scintilla Spyder is still a Targa, with two small, manually removable roof panels, instead of one large panel on the Bolide Targa. Hope I helped! 😀

I didn’t use 2 different configs for the weight comparison. I used the the same car, just removed the roof.

I’d say it’s more a mix of a Ferrari Boxer and a Ferrari 328, with the racing variations looking more like a Lancia O37.

There may or may not have been some DeMuro influence in the title....

@@halophobic9550 different drive modes that actually change the ESC and TC completely, relative camera allowing you to put a camera angle wherever you want(attached to the car), ability to remove and customize every single part individually, modern supercar has the axle lift, interactive interiors, mod repository, replay feature, each car having dozens of variations from a shitbox to a $200k racing version, openable doors whenever you want not just in some menu, simulated suspension physics, oil pan simulation, and that’s the end of my poo. A list of BeamNG features that embarasses these other so called racing simulators.
