I have the exact deep bite from the video at 2.02 minutes, Deep Bite. I have pretty small teeth and have braces next to the gums, on the bottom. My teeth have a dent in the middle from the upper teeth already, which is why I wanted braces along to correct one slightly crocket tooth on top. I was told I need 14 treatments. I can tell this work is not done but don't know how to proceed. I told him this and he kept me for 2 more treatments but he is eager to take the braces off. I have paid a lot of money for this and I am devastated. I watched this kind of video for a couple of months and that only convince me I am right. My bottom teeth need to be pushed a little forward, instead, after the treatment I feel like they were actually pushed further back. I am 45... You are a pretty young doctor, I hope you will remain with the same passion and integrity till your retirement. Unfortunately, I have learned some doctors are kind of bored and don't care much about the work/treatments and people anymore.

thanks for the video! I found out today my 9 year old has an over bite, jetting, and crowding. He has an orthodontist appointment tomorrow but the dentist scared me saying he needed headgear and maybe surgery.. so I've been doing all the research!
Update. I took my son to 4 different orthodontists for consults and found 1 we like my son also has a crossbite on top of everything else. Plan of action is 2 phases of treatment. Phase 1 starts with an expander, then 2x4 upper and lower braces with a Herbst appliance, finished off with bands. Depending on the length of treatment he will then likely either go into a retainer for a while or just straight into a full set of braces to get the alignment perfect. Expected to be in braces anywhere between 3-4 years total but may be broken up.

I commented on another video saying how I didn't like that RU-vid dentists always made it sound like people lose teeth because they don't take care of them. Now I am watching this video that explains exactly what happen to my tooth and what is happening to my front teeth. I would not say I didn't take care of teeth it is just that no dentist ever recommend orthodontics until I broke a tooth.

At the age of 12 a dentist removed my premolars and treated my teeth.from that my smile ruined and gap between every upper teeth.lower not treated and thats ok,but I lost my aesthetics 😢

Hello Doc. I had Open bite. The dentist pull my bottom teeth backward by braces. I feel like the pulling is too much for my tongue to move when I'm speaking It effects the sound of my words. 😢😢😢 I explained this situation to him buy he said my teeth look fine How can I do??😮

I have braces and my orthodontist said we will take it off soon but I still notice to have overjet that my upper teeth haven't pushed that much in yet and I don't notice a good smile I am waiting for 1 and half year, I even had to remove 4 teeth to create space. Do I need braces because after getting wisdom teeth removed, the teeth next to them are facing in opposite direction, so my upper tooth is facing towards my cheek and the tooth below it is facing inwards to the tongue . whenever i keep my mouth normal I can feel them touching each other sometimes, but many times i don’t feel it.

I have 1 slight gap between the top front teeth. I haven't worn my retainer in 5 months. But now I have started wearing them again. When I put them in after 2 hours they felt slightly sore. But the soreness went away after 2 days of wearing them. Now I don't feel any soreness or discomfort and they fit comfortably. Do you think wearing my retainer again can fix my gap? It's a very small one not large.

I think I had deep bite or little overbite Let me explain I'm doing mewing for a almost a year I overlap my front on bottom teeth.. My front teeth almost 75% hides the bottom teeth but it's not too behind the front slight back when do like this only my molars are touching While mewing I want to slightly touching my molars or front and bottom teeth Which is correct Now I'm am going to slightly touch my front and bottom (little overlap) but my molars not touching is it oke?
Do all braces mean you need to wear retainers for life? Also what are the negatives to braces? I have a slight overbite and a bit of spacing in my front teeth that doesn’t seem to cause much issue besides cosmetic but it worries me. It’s only the fact of permanence of wearing a retainer nightly that stops me from asking to get braces. I cant tell if it’s my jaw or my teeth that’s the issue, and the dentist I’ve gone to says I don’t need them but I could get them if I wanted. Advice?
I would wish i knew about these things... I would have rather kept but crooked t Rex looking teeth because of an accident. I despise the retainer and i HATE my permanent retainers. I bite the retainers. Yeah no... If they ever go back I'll keep them like that
I also have TMJ and it caused due to braces... My lower jaw shifted backwards and upper jaw is at right position so Dr suggested me to do surgery for that😢😢 I don't want to undergo through surgery
