Using a bunch of 2x4's ripped in half lengthwise, I mounted a top rail into the ceiling, a bottom rail along the floor (but screwed into the wall with a wooden bracket so I didn't screw into the floor), and then screwed the vertical rails to the top and bottom rails. I hope that describes it well enough :)
It's a Steady rack MTB. The front tire of my Knolly is a 27.5 DHF 2.5. Depending on how the side knobs end up sitting on the rack - when the steel tubing happens to sit right in the trough right between two knobs - it can sometimes take a bit of a tug to get it out.
