Here is a 9" Tatung Westinghouse Desk Fan in red.
These fans are one of a kind. Based on my research, I found out that these also came in blue! They were manufactured by Tatung in Taiwan according to the information sticker shown at the timestamp 0:36. However, it was licensed by Westinghouse.
From my earliest days as a fan collector, I had been looking for a vintage fan that had red blades. There were red antique models that I had seen for sale, but the prices were too high for purchase! After 1 year, 8 months and 16 days, my dream came true! I went to the owner's house where he gave me this fan alongside a 12" Westinghouse Desk Fan for free! Was a really great experience to meet him and he told me a valuable, heartwarming and lovely life lesson which is in the paragraph below:
"Remember in your life it costs very little to make someone happy. Look after yourself and respect your parents."
Surprisingly, this little thing blows a great amount of air! Although the camera aspect doesn't get the air sound accurately, the real life perspective is much better! And yes, it is indeed a backwards speed fan as the first speed is the highest. To me, this adds to the uniqueness of this beautiful model!
The oscillation knob from this fan is missing and it appears to be pushed down internally. Therefore, this fan doesn't oscillate. However, I could have sworn that it was in a different direction when I purchased. There is a mystery!
I'd like to thank all the subscribers that I've recieved in 2021. Whilst you may not be able to see it due to some edits, I am almost at 500 subscribers! I can't extend my gratitude enough. I also hope that the whole world can put the pandemic behind us and get back to a pre-pandemic life. Cases in my state are rising and it is looking uncertain that we are going to have just hundreds a day. I try not to look as I find this depressing. Just do your part and this will hopefully end!
