fun fact: in episode 8 when they are having the beach montage, if you look rlly carefully, when nick and charlie are eating the chips/fries, you can clearly see that charlie is eating too (which is the first time we’ve seen him eat the entire show) showing that he is more comfortable around nick, so he feels more safe and less anxious to eat.

Even though it's a darker theme I'm glad they are sticking true to comics and are tackling some serious topics

The fact that Nick is fluent in French is important because his dad is French/lives in France and in the graphic novels Nick’s relationship with his dad is an important plot line

you can tell she hasnt read the books since she said ‘these fights are most likely to happen in paris’ like no, the barely fight at all, they had one fight in book four and fought in nick and charlie but not in book three (paris trip) at all

I am looking forward to the new season for all the reasons you highlighted, especially the mental issues that Charlie is going to go through, as I went through the same issues during my teen years. It took me much longer to get over my issues compared to the comic books.

If you have read the books then ... of course u know it's not gonna be a love dovey satisfying season , it might even have a very sad ending with charlie being taken to mental hospital 😢

I hope there’s more than 8 episodes (or longer episodes) so we get the chance to actually experience the comic. It’d be disappointing if they rushed things or left out important scenes. Regardless, I am beyond excited to see how they bring it to life. This series is so important 🍂🏳️‍🌈

I think one thing that video misinterprets the comic with is their relationship struggles. They don’t get into arguments until a little bit later in their relationship. The conversations that they have about Charlie’s mental health are loving and supportive and worrying. I’m not saying that the arguments later on aren’t because they are out of love, but they have a more serious tone. They don’t really argue while in Paris, Nick is mostly trying to help. 4:02 Regardless, I’m so excited for this season and I know that it’s going to be amazing and I’m so excited to see kit and joe back on screen.😊

If you are too excited and can't wait for season 2 I'll suggest you to read the HEARTSTOPPER book because everything that has been mentioned here included in Heartstopper book of volume 3 and 4 !!! I have already completed all the volume and the series as well and I'm so excited for the season 2 :)

I love Heartstopper, it's better than Young Royals and all the remakes of SKAM from the start, I like Kit Connor and Joe Locke as Nick and Charlie including Sebastian Croft as Ben Hope and William Gao, who play Nick's best friend, Tao including Yasmin Finney, who play Elle Argent and become the British transgender actress on the show!! #bopping

If you would like to see what the gist of the next few seasons will be, read the comics. We see alot more of his eating disorder and mental health but also a flourishing of their and other relationships. Vv excited for the new season!!

Love the show. Indeed, I don't see the show as a LGBTQ themed show but as a love story but knew it would have to, given that so much time was given to "what happened last year" without being specific. Indeed, I told my husband, who is Italian (I am American but we live in Italy) that they would be looking into what happened or what brought Charlie to be so removed from himself and others (being gay myself I understand perfectly. in the USA, and I am talking about 30 years ago, one did not "go through HS"..but "survived HS"...and being gay, openly gay 30 years ago was not a treat, indeed, it was an ongoing nightmare and though I would like to believe things have gotten better, I imagine they are not so much better)....Anyway, here, in Italy, where mental illness and mental health are simply things one doesn't talk about, my husband is in denial that there is any mental health issues in the show...(he is a scientist so psych is not his fortè) ......I am glad I shall win that one though I do hope, despite their ages, that they shall be able to understand what is happening. Oh well, being young is not easy and I, for one, wouldn't want to relive that part of my life but these kids get through it without long lasting scars.

Oh I'm so here for this because reading the graphic novels. Boy did they get dark but they were so good.

Even without the obviously reflected lettering of 'Heartstopper' on the book in the clip with Alice Oseman, anyone familiar with the series will easily spot that the clips from the series are mirror-reflected. Clearly no one checked this before publishing on the channel...

N&C don't really argue much in the comics... I'm not sure where you're getting that from. They don't really have a significant argument until the timeline of the novella, Nick and Charlie.
