9. Tom Waits - November (Live, Atlanta 2008) 

This song is best when heard on a cold, dark, rainy November night. The live version is even better.

It leaves you with a feeling, a kind of pain in your heart, that you can't put into words. And the miracle is: he's made so many more songs of that quality. How can he do that?

I love how his live performances can sometimes take on a whole different feel than the studio versions...

2016, no prayers for November to linger longer, yes indeed.

makes me wanna cry! love it, love it, love it! i would like to know what it takes to make mr.waits retreat from his retreat and come to berlin to perform that hell of a song! he' s a one-man firing squad!

I can't believe I missed it,I was right there in Atlanta....Damn Dragon*con I could have used that money to pay for tickets....My third favorite song and I missed it...The concert must have been wonderful..oh well!
