I am on week 3 of this plan, thanks for putting it together! Going from not running to consistently running a little adds up, fun to look at my total miles on strava, ain’t much but its honest work😂👍🏼

Just downloaded this so thanks. Coming back from bad injuries in both feet so need to build slowly and so I’ll probably repeat each week and make it a 18 week plan. Slow down now and get the benefit in the future.

Just downloaded this plan and shared it with a friend who wants to get back into running. Honestly I haven't done any running in a couple of years now, was having some issues that I had no idea what was happening. Thought it was just because I was going through menopause but late last year found out that I had endometriosis with hyperplasia. Long story shorter I found out the Wednesday before Christmas that the OBGYN had scheduled me for a total hysterectomy on January 24th and she's given me the thumbs up to start running, just have to listen to my body. Thing is something is still going on, trying to figure that out, because my energy levels are still all over the place. I'm hoping it's just low iron but I really feel like I'm at a point that I need to make my body work with me rather than against me. Not going to do anything stupid and cause any injury but sleeping some nights 10 to almost 13 hours is crazy. I've lost about 10lbs since my surgery but still have a way to go and I so miss running, especially trail running. Sorry for the long message. Thank you again Ben and Mary for all your encouragement in your videos, helpful info and we'll just for being you! ❤

I am so happy I found you guys. I really appreciate the plans. I am learning so much and I have shared them with my niece as well. She wants to eventually do a marathon. Thank you both so much!

At the end of week 4 of this and I think I finally understand what an "easy" run is. First few weeks even going a 5-6/10 effort felt a chore, but the last couple of sessions i've done I've got what it was meant to feel like. Not that i was skeptical about it but i'm just shocked that at some point it just clicks

Currently half way through Week 4 of the 6 week training plan you provided last time. It’s going great and i’ve just signed up for my first 5k. and although the training is going great i always get asked by other runners “why do i not incorporate speed days” and i never know what to tell them, can you help me answer that question cause i’ve become a bit curious as well.

Speed is far more taxing than any of the other steps in the plan. If you do them you'd need 3 to 5 days off to recover. That is, if you dont get an inury after doing them. Muscle is an easy one to keep healthy as you can feel it go too far most of the time. Tendons however just go sudenly and will take you out for atleast a few weeks.. It is an intermediate level exersize. Give it alteast a few months before doing some very light speed work. But would be better not to think about it for the first year. Add some 20m strides after week 6 if you want to have the feeling of speed work without all the issues. Its one of the few things i think is missing from the plan. That and a basic form routine a few times a week.
