For the girlies with big hair, I switched to elastic headbands (no metal piece) abt 6 years ago and it's been a game changer for me.

Listen I clicked on this to find a style for myself and ran right into my same situation. Been doing hair all my life and now God is leading me to and through the unfamiliar. These bands for thick hair are the ones with no metal but even those without metal break, black or nude pant hose cut into thick strips make the best hair bands found out by accident in an emergency hair situation 😂😂😂. I needed something stretchy and it work so much better with the hair getting caught tangled up in the band, it just slides out when taking the pony down. They do have hair bands that look like that material and they are a go too. They keep there stretch a lot longer and don’t break the hair.
