Nice job singing and playing those complex chords! Strangely I woke up today thinking of this old song and found your cover. I bought that album in 76!
Awesome. This is a Tull song I messed with a few times over the years but never did justice so it was never a setlist song for me. But you have inspired me to give it a go again and I got a handle on it now. If he is not too old to be out there doing it still into 2024, I am not too old to learn it and cover it. Your version is a demonstration on how to play and sing this properly. Nice, and thanks.
Great, great, great, as usual, Stewart!. The all of us fan of yours can't wait less from you! Masterful job!, Would you please playing KISSING WILLIE in the future??????
OMG. That was beautiful. Working on Mother Goose my self... which you btw taught me . Thanks. I need someone to criticies my musical doings -), Happy New Year 2024. Morten, Denmark.
Wow! Spot on! Never realized the length of the song either. Quite a comment to learn and perform. Sounds as good as the original especially good on acoustic. 👍
Excellent job once again Stewart and thank you. Great to see and hear you again. I hope you think about coming on and paying tribute to each member of the Tull family when it's his (or her's - Dee) birthday. At least we'll get to hear you more often.
Until about 2006 the public record and Ian himself asserted his birthday as 09 August. And on 09 August 1997 the Boston Mass Tull concert was billed as his 50th Birthday show and even had a Bagpiper play a song commemorating it. I vaguely recall Ian later stating that he since discovered that he was born a bit after midnight so hence on 10 August. My take is that I married my wife in 2005 and her birthday is also 09 August. Thereafter suddenly I noticed that his birthday became 10 August. Anyone else ever notice his birthday variance?
I've been listening to Tull since 1973 and am a huge fan. However, to be honest, I did not care for this song or this album as a whole. Stewart, as usual, did a great job. The album never captured my interest.
