Thanks very much. Very useful information about the old town area. You passed by Royal Rattanakosin Hotel, a historic hotel, I think. Can you feature that hotel and the local restaurants nearby? It's very near the tourist areas - temples, grand palace and government buildings. Would that be a nice place to stay when in Bangkok?

When I first came to Bangkok probably 20 years ago ..I would walk along the area you driving along grand palace, from one end to another using hard copy map. Younger, got energy n youth to explore by foot.
