90 Landings & Takeoff`s with my favorite Boeing 747` s I filmed at Liege Airport in Belgium. This time I was looking through my footage from Liege Airport and picked the most interesting Jumbo Jet clips and sumed them up in a heavy plane mix compilation. The first aircraft shows a B747 from National Airlines which showed up at Liege in this stunning red livery. This aircraft used to be a firefighter plane and was known under the name "Global Supertanker". National bought the plane, removed the fire fighting equipment and added the aircraft to their fleet of B747`s. The stunning airplane operated a flight to Belgrad that day and as you can see it departed quite fast. We were lucky because the crew had a chance to to an intersection takeoff which just means that it didn` t have to backtrack the runway and pass us planespotters who were waiting at the end of the runway.
Liege Airport is the place to be if you are interested in Boeing 747`s. It` always stunning to watch the Queen take off right in front of you. Liege recently renewed its operating permission and at least until 2030 Boeing 747`s will be able to fly without any highter costs. If I undestood it correctly B747 operators have to pay additional fees from 2030 if they operate the B747 between 23:00 and 7:00 during night time.
