@@Snerdy0867 I was a total newb when I made this mix. I was told that the "mixing" of break tunes is mostly fast cuts, back-and-forth, on those breaks. That's kinda the whole concept behind how BB tunes are built, and meant to be mixed. I was stubborn and eager to build a mix that I could listen to. I hadn't developed those cutting and juggling skills, so I blended almost all of these tunes.

Thank you. I've been very self conscious about the execution aspect of this mix, but my love for the music trumps skill. And the Psychedelic Research Lab - Keep on Climbing is a perfect set up for Stella Getz - Dr. Love. I"m happy to know how those tunes move others like they did me.

Have you heard the original, Stella Getz source tune. It's amazing how they came up with the Hard Love Dub from something so completely different.

I saw 90s breakbeats mix and I liked and subscribed before I hit play. I just played a break set for the first time since the lockdown, for the Halloween weekend, and it was a couple of the best hours of my year! @@HideSeek_Soje111 I can't remember when I finally got it. Somewhere around '01 off of Discogs marketplace. I first heard it on Eric Davenport's Metro Mix vol. 2 that my friend & I had a very partial track list to. I believe he also closes out one of the sides with it. I wore that tape out & it is the mid 90s rave scene for me. It had all kind of breaks classics.

Agreed. I wish I could get ahold of some of the real obscure rare stuff we used to hear. Back then, if you had a song stuck in your head, finding out what it was could be daunting if not impossible.

Very late reply. But that PRL Keep On Climbing was some of the first progressive type breaks that I ever heard back in the day. Beast of of get lost in it the sound tune. And that Stella Gets Dr Love was a launch to outer space tune. ❤️

I had to go back and see where we discussed it. I couldn't post links in RU-vid replies back then. Maybe it was only external links. Anyway, yes, I guess I never remembered to go back and provide the link. Honestly the mixing is pretty bad, and I would do the programming all different now. It was one of my first mixes to record. I'm 39, and didn't get decks until I was like 33. I collected all the tunes from back in the day, and tried to remake something like those awesome breaks mixes we used to hear. What's worse, is that the recording died, an6d there's another 30 to 45 minutes missing. I can't remember all of the tunes, but I know there was. . .
