In this video Steve battles a mess of wiring problems on this non-running Dodge Ram W150. It also needs a fuel pump ... watch to find out if we drop the tank or take the bed off?? Will it ever run?? Thanks for watching!
Greetings! Happy New Year! It’s good that this is an injection engine. It should have good power and not such a high fuel consumption as on a carburetor engine.
Thank you! Happy New Year. Fuel injection definitely has its advantages. Unless it’s an early 90’s Chrysler electronic system. They did not have stuff dialed in back then. Even the shop manuals I got ahold of did not have ANY 92’ Schematics. This leaving me to throw parts at it. Which is the very last thing to do.
Thank you! Love em’ all. Shortbed 4x4 are fun trucks. It was optioned pretty well for its age. It suffered from the early 90’s primer defect and had a repaint. Which seems every early 90’s Dodge I have owned has had the same or early onstage Patina 😂
You should build trap door get to fuel pump my friend had 90 Dodge Texas truck 4x4 with Midwest cancer start he couldbt get bolts out cause rust and afraid wouldn't have bed mounts cause they start rust jacking being a metal fabricator fabricated a trapdoor look factory 😂 he still has it he restored
Common fix for a fuel pump in trucks and cars especially in the rust belt. It was easier on this southern rig to just remove the bolts and move the bed.
Just subscribed. Im a small town contractor. I do houses. I love old truck revivals. In my line of work i use trucks often. Ive got three old model. Merry Christmas, mate and happy new year. Watching from Christmas Island.
Thank you! Merry Christmas! These old trucks are great, the only thing I did not like about this was the early Chrysler electronics . If it were a daily driver for me, It would get a Holley Sniper EFI or and Carb. The rest of the truck is pretty stout. A 4x4 shortbed is fun as well.
