As it was with female supermodels of the '90s, known by one name, as it was with the male models at the same time. This was the golden age of modeling. The men look great. Healthy, confident, and relaxed they just got off an international first-class flight. Indeed, what the hell happened to the male model culture 30 years on? Men today (most, not all) look like half-starved zombied robots! The industry seriously needs to rethink its look for men in fashion, reform, and go retro to that magic decade!
The last one, Scott Barnhill was one of the first in the ridiculously skinny trend that took over fashion industry until today; the only one I know still uses masculine, healthy, handsome models is Armani, the rest is every year worst.
Who are these people? Never seen any of them on a list of best models. Never seen any of them anywhere. I must have been in the kitchen. They are a rather cookie cutter crowd. Today, there is more diversity in the ranks, a better reflection of the populace. The big generation of today has put fashion out of fashion. So many brands and stores were forced to shut down because all those millennials weren't buying clothes. Chic and glamorous and well-dressed are not things the debtor class "aspires" to. This is a dull time for dull people. Maybe the Zoomers will resurrect Fashion from the dead. There are some model boys working today who are destined to make that permanent list of the Best Model Boys ever.
OMG, WOW!! I live in a german town with 300.000 citizens. Not ONE man looks as gorgious as these guys. They were handsome and charismatic, not like robots. They even smile and have sparkling eyes. So beautiful!
@@RISHANLAMA-hd4ns lol, pwrsonally I don't find 90% of these men attractive, but I do like the way they model. And these are actually clothes made for male bodies and male energy, not like most of the androgynous bullshit of the 2010s and present time. Stop it with the maxxing bullshit, you're wrong.
I remember there was a jeans commercial with skinny males and females around 2001 in bad clothing and the trashy street wear look started very fast to destroy the image of the elegant man for years.
I saw this video today on RU-vid. I have a lot more to say but have no words... First of all I feel sorry for not knowing these amazing supermodels despite being born in 90s.. secondly I would like to Thank Gianni Versace (above all) for creating such masterpiece products and coz of him we were able to see such amazing models..You will always be remembered Gianni Versace.. Be it male models (like these amazing faces and physiques I saw over here) or female models like Yasmeen Ghauri, and many others of the 90s...all are the outcomes of the stupendous work and efforts of Gianni Versace. where are such handsome men now? before watching this video I never really knew how successful was the male modeling domain in the 90s compare to the present day's male models (x-cuse me no comments)
HOT. Is it possible current male models are so thin and non descript because in these 90's shows, you don't see the clothes, you are drawn to the face and presence of the model instead? (I certainly am as a female)
We boys who love clothes, love even more, boys without clothes. Of course I look at the faces, and their bodies. I don't need clothes. I've got plenty of clothes. It's bodies I can't get enough of. Thin is in, but not on my block.
Like their female counterparts, the male models of yester year were far more exciting to watch, very animated & engaging, with more character than today. The 2md & 3rd fashion shows from the beginning of this video appear to be the same brand. Can anyone tell me the name of fashion house the models are walking for? Thanks for sharing!
Millennials didn't want grow up. They banished pubic hair, once a symbol of pride, a long with hairy chests. God forbid, those old children stayed away from free weights. They stayed thin, painfully thin, so they could resemble little boys. No biceps. No pubes. They became bye-sexuals. Skinny made you look more like a girl, small and frail. To grow up meant taking on responsibility. No deal, right kids? So, fem'me took over. Some guys got real bored by all this posturing, and decided to grow some pubes. And beards. And hairy chests. And they moved beyond abs, and blew-up real good. Skinny clothes looked she-she.
Mark Vanderloo and Alex Lundvisq were the most successful supermodels of the 90s. I prefer Alex since he has that perfect combination of both male and female features
Look at how these models take their time and look relaxed. You actually remember what they wore. Male models these days are trying too hard and walking too fast as if they are rushing for the last train. 🤣
No shit male models today or too skinny. They look like walking skeletons they don’t even look like they want to be there and they can’t walk a straight line to save their life sad models back in the 90s they look healthy for posture is great. They can walk straight line and they actually want to be there. Today is runway shows ejectable boring and their models look like they don’t even want to be there really I would look at them all day not the ones in present day and that’s sad for what the fashion industry has turned out to be nothing but a boring ass industry
@@betsenko5948 well, sir stupid because we don’t get to see much of what you’re doing or how you’re doing if you’re a little running down the cat walk really
Not only female supermodels from the 90's were the best and much better from this generation but also the 90's male models were much better from today's male model generation. They were all good looking, handsome, elegant, having charisma, and most important real a man. We can see that today's male model are weird, uncomfortable to see, sissy like a female, too skinny, and not having IT factor like these 90's male models. The last batch of good male models were from 00's like Noah Mills, Sean O'Pry, David Gandy, Adam Senn, Sam Webb, Sebastian Stan, Andres Velencoso, and Jon Kortajarena.
Hey, the 90s called, they want their mindset back. And if you change your opinion, then go back to the 90s and enjoy and embrace your toxic masculinity there.
Today, we have a lot of brutal looks in male modeling, lots of tatoos, aggressive look, not smart, not skilled more the stone age type and the skinny teenage boys too. Same in todays movies.
it's crazy how literally nothing has changed in the past 30 years lol.. still the exact same beauty standard. Even the clothes arent that far off, no matter how edgy these designers try to be.

The first sequence with the models wearing the multi-colored slacks is so awkward that I could barely watch it! Who designed them! They all looked embarrassed to be wearing them.
