The reason I started getting into bodybuilding was seeing people like Jim! It's so inspirational seeing people in their 80's and 90's being healthy, fit, and strong!
Bless you wishing more years to come never stop I'm 75 years old still lifting weights three days a week and cordio Did power lifting while in the Army after retiring from the Army 22 years I continue going to meets You are a inspiration to me
A true testament to what a natural/active lifestyle can produce. I hope I'm even HALF as fit and lucid as this gentleman into my 60's and beyond. A true inspiration for living a healthy and able-bodied life.
I think thats whats most impressive. Most people who ever get to this point in life you can hardly understand what they're saying. This guy speaks with such volume and clarity that honestly I wouldn't he surprised in the slightest if this guy was the first to live to like 150.
@@se_14 People tought humans could live to 120 but jeane was able to reach 122 in 1997 next decade jim turns 100,with the advancments of technology AGI will be the cool tech by the 2030s.If he can reach beyond 100+ he will be able to extend his life to 120 and maybe beyond with the same energy he has in his 90s with the right team of lev scienttists ! It will be so rare in the beggining of the ceuntry to see centanarians above 120 but in the future around thw 2080s/90s the era of the super inteligence machine ,there may be a chance that we could achive bioçogical immortality !
Jim,you are an inspiration to so many people. Life is what you make it,you achieved your Dream, and im guessing at 100 yrs old? Your still going to be amazing!❤
I have two torn rotator cuffs . Making my arms gain more weight than the rest of my body. Thank you for sharing this it gives me some hope that things will get better.
He's probably not the oldest bodybuilder but the one still competing in contests. While bodybuilding isn't the best sport for cardio etc it sures shows dedication on doing things consistently..
I've seen video throughout my life of people being celebrated for reaching the century mark. But typically their bodies have folded in on themselves, their spines curving toward the floor. They are slow in their speech, and they seem to absorb questions slowly, even if they respond in funny, intelligent ways. But this guy is mentally sharp and physically tremendous. His quality of life looks incredible. Lifelong exercise is so vital to mental and physical capacity--and age doesn't mean an inevitable collapse into senescence.
I am 94 and still work out heavy, do leg presses in the 300 lb range at a body weight of 155. Try to do at least 240 reps of assorted exercises at every session, Keeps you mentally alert too!
Its heart breaking for a senior to try a difficult task both to old & young 100 consecutive push up, which ive done in 52seconds only & 114 pushup in one minute. Sadly Guinness book disqualified me on the category Oldest male to attempt this min age 75 , im 61 only. Said push up was even a 2 world record 1. Most number if pushup in 1 min. 2. Fastest male to hit 100 pushup in 52sec only. Im appealing to GWBR to reconsider my record Rodrigo Revelar philippines

He came out the womb early because his life is a long story. Legend and really shows if you keep your mind young and a positive attitude it works. Massive respect
The guys on the steroids thinking they'll make it to 90! LOL! From the Turek Clinic Blog-- In my off-the-cuff analysis of 20 younger, steroid-using bodybuilders, I found that the average age at death was 52 years. Not only that, but 65% of them died before age 50 and 25% of them died in their thirties. An analysis of 23 “old timer” body builders who competed in the pre-steroid era showed that they lived an average of 81 years.
