For your 1M Gamerscore milestone, I recommend doing a mixed completion on games, play the games you love and grab some easy ones along the way. No need to rush it because you wouldn't enjoy it that way.

I love gamerscore but also I play games for an experience or a hobby. Sitting at 520k right now and I have no idea how you guys play games just for gamerscore. That would feel so empty to me but congrats on one step closer to 1 mill thats insane

First and foremost... congrats on the 900,000! Well deserved and mad props to you! I've followed you for a few years now and seeing this progress is so fun! For your road to a million I'd love to see you do a mix of games that you really want to spend the time with and quick games. While going back and doing DLC completions of others. It would also be neat to see you do a a few styles of games you'd never dream of doing and talk about them to see if you actually enjoyed them or not. Quick question: do you keep track of your own percentages for styles of games like fighters and car racing etc or is this something on Xbox I haven't seen yet? Also, good luck and many hours of fun to the million! You've worked so hard at it and deserve to play games you enjoy the most. 😁

I currently have 22 games installed with varying levels of progress. But I try to prioritise Game Pass titles because you never know when they leave the service. Just hit past 340,000 GS with my main goal to get as close to 400,000 by the end of the year.

I was surprised to see that Shyhook Shot achievement is so rare, because on the right maps I hijack flyers several times per game. Probably it's rare only because you don't always get the right maps

Im currently at 200k Gamerscore and have started not going much for GS but more for completing bigger games because the feeling i get completing a game ive spent months trying to complete is just uncomparable

Maka’s Road to 1 Mil Gamerscore ~1035 games = 900 000 GS Ave: 870 GS By comparison, at 800 000 GS, he had an average of 835 GS. Freak of nature Maka is. I know I’m going to be in awe at what 1 million holds.

i can't afford many games so all my gamerscore has to come from gamepass or free games, but you should play aragami 2, its like 30 hours but its pretty easy to complete and most people dont complete it

Hi! A Plague Tale: Innocence. If I remember correctly, you only have 2 or 3 achievements left in that game. (I last looked when you were at 600,000-700,000 gamerscore.) And I was wondering if you ever plan to finish it up? The final achievements should take you 3-5 hours total, if you are as slow a gamer as me, but it was the first game I ever 100% and it kinda... Annoys(?) Me that you have not finished it. I feel it may leave game pass soon ("Soon = by Halloween.) and I'm assuming you played it on game pass. Speaking of, I'm about to get 50,000 gamerscore (around 49,700 gamerscore.) And Trek to Yomi might be the game that pushes me over it. You planning to play that game at all? The non-secret achievements are pretty straight forward. Reviews say the game play is fun, but story doesn't make sense. I personally don't feel comfortable rating the game yet. I’m trying to get 100k and I’m getting close but I only enjoy fully completing harder games like mass effect legendary edition and doom eternal. Easy games just aren’t as enjoyable. But I’m at 77k atm so I’m making good progress

Yeah I get bored of playing easy games like Edith finch and donut County prefer the longer ones like dirt call of duty which makes you feel like you've actually earned it buy doing something still put myself through easygamerscorethough

27:00 Smart Moves is not a super quick completion. While you can get a huge chunk of the achievements done on the 1st few levels. You do need to clear each world to get 100% and that takes a while.

I'll say you should do 50k GS of easy games then 50k GS of more time consuming games, like do 25k GS of 6-20 hour completions then do 25k of more time consuming games that are closer to 40 hours or more

Maka - glad to see you're doing well. I remember you from the x360a board a long long time ago. In fact I think we had some beef before I got banned by the british admin. I quit playing games when I realized I was grinding childrens games like viva pinata and lego star wars to increase my gamerscore (ended up at 78,000 about 10 years ago). I was fat, unhappy, and a loser who used video games as an escape. In that 10 years of quitting games I accomplished so much more than video game achievements. I really hope you are also making accomplishments in your personal life as well. You seem extremely intelligent and from I remember on the x360a board people looked up to you - if you are in fact struggling in your personal life then please put your focus on that instead of these imaginary points. Seeing your name was a blast from the past and I'm happy that you have a successful youtube page. I most likely won't keep up with your other videos but I wish you the best and hope you have success in all walks of your life.

For me, I just exit to dashboard a few times, and go back to the achievements, and it'll eventually load them again and kick in the correct amounts.

Congratulations boobies, I reached 200K last year and then stopped playing for GS, I’m currently replaying all the Halo games starting at Halo CE even though I have a 100% in some of them. I’m thinking of going back to a lot of games I haven’t finished too.

Hey, Maka, not judging or anything, but I find it kinda weird that you seem to despise these easy games when talking about them, but still you incentivize them to be made by buying and them and making guides for your audience. Wouldn't it be a better achievement community if people like you focused on hard/cool achievements and completions instead of overall score? Just a thought. Thanks for all the great content.

Yeah, I know where you're coming from. Just to be open and honest, I don't buy them, they are sent to me for free by Xbox. I haven't made guides for any Xitilon game, and I've tried my best not to cover gamerscore shovelware that companies make to profit off the community. If you look at my videos, I haven't covered very many of them with a dedicated video in the last several years. I have tried to transition to hard/cool completions, but easy games are so easy now, that even if you spend 5% of your time on them, they'll be responsible for 90% of your gamerscore. Last but not least, I feel the need to do them every now and again to keep up with the community and full understand the trends achievements are going through. I've done everything within my power to encourage change at the root of the issue, but Xbox doesn't seem interested changing, adapting, or fixing achievements. One thing I have done recently was to focus a lot more on TA Difference stats on TrueAchievements, as I believe they are the most accurate representation for gamers on the site.

The gamer score isn’t that much of a big deal what’s a big deal if the Microsoft rewards points if you have 900,000 points that can buy you 2 Xbox series X consoles digital games movies hardware’s controller DLC the best thing xbox ever did achievements are to just remind you what you did last time in the game so you don’t get lost and have to start all over

Love your vids that help u with achievements in fun games.but no offence I will never understand the point of playing easy games for gamer score don’t see the fun in it . Have a friend who is just like u and he thinks cuz he has a high gamer score that makes him better at games then his friends tho most of the games he plays are rubbish games for easy achievements plus he has more time on his hands . Were as I have a wife and kids so gaming time is limited I only ever play games I like or find a challenge and that’s the way I have always got gamer score from 360 days be4 I had a family.also I play on ps5 to and I noticed there are less easy rubbish trophies games there
