in 1991 thru 1999 maybe..I had my first experience in lowriders and I was from Texas at the age of 10 years-old in 1991. I was a young kid just intrigued by the lowrider culture.. at 13 had my first lowrider bike. I had it stolen from me. I got so sad I didn't get another one. sad part my dad was helping me fix it up. I'm 41 now my dad has been gone to heaven now since 2012 I miss him dearly.. and everytime I see lowrider bikes I get my own flash backs.. any way I hope everyone enjoys the lowrider culture even if you don't own one you can still admire the beauties.
That Crenshaw scene in Boyz in the hood always got me. It looks like Morris Chesnut almost got his legs or maybe just his feet ran over by cube in the tray. It could've been Cuba or an extra but they legit slipped and fell while Cube was skatin on Daytons and he barely skated around that person's legs. Who else noticed that? Edit: On further inspection it was an extra and Morris knocked him down almost getting the dudes legs or feet ran over by the tray Cube was driving.
It was said that the director John Singleton didn’t tell anyone that there was gonna be gunshots. So everyone in that scene thought they were really being shot at. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for making this! The hydraulic noises in pretty much all movies are so phoney! The hydraulic pumps DON'T kick on when you lower the vehicle. Half the time they hardly evem sound like a hydro pump
Nice video! Regarding the so-called "Euro lowrider" term: I never understood why the cars were called like that when the vast majority were either Asian or US American cars... Why didn't people simply stick with the already existing term "New Age lowrider" that actually made sense?! 🙂✌
As for the Euro… In my opinion and common belief around me at the time, it was mostly because they tended to be imports with bubble lights and unibody support. Nissans, Mazda mostly, but Chevy had the corsicas and berettas, ford had the escorts. If it wasn’t for this and mini-trucks, Lowriding would not have evolved to what it is now.
@@crazymike713 I heard once that it had to do with the cars and styling being "foreign". They used mainly foreign cars. Toyotas, Hondas, Nissans, especially then Ford Escorts got popular and by then it was just used as a term for any non-traditional classic Lowrider... Weird...
