That is very good info,thank you for making this video,sometimes we buy cars that were butchered by previous owners and it falls to us to fix them correctly.

I have a 90gt and my fuel pump wont prime. I pulled the seat and used a jumper cable on the fuel pump relay connector and the pump kicked on. I ordered a replacement relay and hope that fixes it.
My 88LX has started to sometimes shut off. Other times I won't start...and I don't hear the fuel pump prime when I turn on the ignition key. Today when I turned the key on, the fuel pump did prime but keep running....which I know it's not supposed to do. It's only supposed to prime for like 2 seconds and then shut off before starting. Thanks for the wiring tips. I'll go to the store and get a new relay and see if that's it.
This might be a dumb question man but I’m working on my project and I have no idea how wiring works, I was wondering if that green connector is the 8pin connector found on the wiring harness? And if so, what is that black connector that it’s connected to called? Is it an eec power relay? Because we thought we connected everything right but we can’t find what that green 8 pin is connected to so I need to find what it’s connected to so I can order it, just don’t know the name of what I’m looking for. Thanks
@@CesarSanchez-et4kg still working on it .. it seems when getting warm or hot it fails ..i have also low voltage on "Check engine light" and Relais dont work but not always or after 3-5 seconds light get back to bright and relays work ..
@@CesarSanchez-et4kg it wasnt fixd ... ECU is bad ..Capacitors are bad..at least I have a lot of new cables, new Ignition switch, all new grounded, all new Relais etc... megasquirt goes back in today..
The Ford Racing Patio I have a fox body mustang too & I don't know why they couldn't put that on the firewall or under the hood somewhere else!!!!! I have rebuilt my engine & fuel pump is original!! & fuel relay!! My next move is replace both!! Think pump died this Halloween (2017!!)! Hasn ran since & I don't hear the pump when ignition half turned on(like in the past)... Goin for bigger pump to get bigger horsepower set up!? 225 gpm type!? Gd for 300 horsepower!? Having fun but broke as a bloke?!😂🐣🙄🤔
From 87 to 91 they are under the drivers seat, from 92 to 93 they are under the mass air meter under the hood,there are 2 under the hood below the mass air that are very similar, one is your fuel pump relay, the other your A/C WOT relay.
Lol!!!!! I have an 89 mustang!! Where is the relay located?!?!?! Where O where can it be!?! Is it under the dash or passenger side firewall under the hood?!!!? Go to the store & get a new one!!! Old parts have old problems!? We r talking about a part that will leave u stuck in traffic!!! Why buy a used fuel relay?!?! They don't cost that much!!! Imagine riding your child in that car.... rebuilt engine transmission.... & an old used fuel relay!?!?! U don't need a stalled car on the interstate!?!?!?! If u can avoid it....
Cesar Sanchez hey I think my pump or relay jus died!!! Lol!!!! I have rebuilt the engine & resealed the transmission & new fluid after install 2017!! Halloween night 17 it hasn't ran since! Hopefully this spring bac in swing!!! Prob gonna install 225 gpm pump?! For 300 horsepower!? Bigger throttle body ,injector, & MAF sensor!?(already have a E303 cam!) Upper intake mayb too... havin fun!? Hope 2 paint etc .... Need sponsor or money to upgrade! PMS car😂 Poor man sports car! Po boy here🤔🙄
