@@callmenat..7476They don’t just say that, he _is_ the cannon mc. It’s confirmed. I don’t think it matters in Star Rail though bc in Genshin both mc’s are present
@@jellythewomanconsumer1590even HSR Official is like:"GENSHIN COULD NEVER!" Edit:can people stop replying "It's an edit!" "You're way too stupid to realize that it's an edit" I know it's too bold for HSR Official to say that and I know it's an edit, I'm just enjoying the joke that someone made
@@Apanoviit’s very possible if we’re in a dream world during the whole trash stuff my assumption is that we’ll somehow end up as the opposite gender mc during that stuff. (My guess, anyway. Seems odd mostly since they’ve specifically always shown fem mc during all the promotional stuff so it’s odd to change now unless it is actually fem mc but in the dream world we gender swap)
@amiamt3803 Maybe I'm misremebering, but I'm pretty sure they actually used caelus for the some of the other trailers before so it not like this was the first time
But even with the very FIRST scene in genshin impact, with the unknown god! When Lumine is stock in those red rocks ! One milli second before seeing the unknow god, she transform into Aether. This is ridiculous. It's LITTERALLY the FIRST custscene of the game and they still messed this up
@@XMalikXMoodyXdoesn't matter lol it's like cyberpunk V can either be a guy or a girl same with here you can be a guy or girl just cause it has different dialogue it doesn't mean they aren't the same person
@@legromp2357 There's multiple choices there actually. The one that stands out is the choice "Me but as a different gender", as unlike the other choices, the MC shouldn't know of their other gender counterpart. When all the other choices are characters the MC is familiar with
Alternate realities linked in a duality of simultaneous occurence sounds like a dope plot point if they can pull off the writing. Would love for Caelus & Stelle to meet
This would have been a really cool detail. But sadly, if you watch the Tartarov trailer you see Stelle's version of this scene and it doesn't show Caelus. Its just a mistake, not an intentional detail :(
@@wolfder6661 2 month old comment but curious, is that actually true statistically? or is it just that stelle is more of the poster girl for the game over caelus, so it seems like she's favored? like genshin with aether
@rainblue4789 I forget how I learned the information but I do remember seeing somewhere that Stelle is more of a poster character for this game like aether is to genshin and the reason I remember this information at least is because I myself use Aether for genshin but decided to use Stelle for star rail and learned that information at some point early in star rail's launch
Feel like Stelle and Caelus are the same person. They were always hinted to be a vessel or something of sorts to host the Stellaron. And unlike Genshin that shows 2 separate person together.. Here at the start, they show a data and they are choosing which form to host. So likely at the purest state, Stelle and Caelus are one and the same person. Hence why their reaction, dialogue everything are the same. Even the way they attack.
@@Vonmoonlight Well unlike with Genshin where the stories heavily involve the twins, Caelus and Stelle are simply just presets that Kafka (which for the moment was us) chose. They are one and the same, so which one the player chooses, doesn't really matter. Hoyo in this case chose Stelle as the main/base character
@@kyero8724Well in both cases I don’t think “canon” is the word, since Mihoyo goes to great lengths to serve its audience, they try not to alienate them as best as possible. It’s more who they themselves had in mind when crafting it. Canon is now divergent, unlike some other games where “the sequel assumes it was this person” that will likely not happen with Genshin or Star Rail. In other words “neither is integral to canon” and there is never going to be a need to canonize which was chosen. They’ll make certain of it. That’s why, for example, they still use both in advertising.
@@ZhongliArchonofSwag You can make that argument in the case of star rail wth a bias toward female protag, since they use her slightly more in big trailers and stuff. However with genshin, it's pretty clear they're heavily biased toward male traveler and intend for him to be the main choice for the story. At least in the case of star rail, they alternate MC's every video or so. Like Peony is the perfect example. Stelle got the expect trash can wars trailer. Caelus got the epic ass music video.
@@Zwei22 And yet they use Lumine in many of the event banners in game. Regardless of whether you try to swing it one way or another, you’re just reading intention. They will, I’m confident, never officially canonize either one for the game itself. Doing so doesn’t benefit them and even so, nothing really changes by doing so. Lumine and Aether are distinct characters with Aether being more earnest and Lumine being more lighthearted and mischievous, but in the end they react to situations more or less the same. Which one woke up first and was taken control of by the weave of fate doesn’t especially matter.
I think that stelle does fit better as an mc to hsr storyline. Like how I felt of aether being the traveler. Though that's mainly because lumine looked cooler as the evil twin
Ikr? Idk i mean, the way she’s trying to find things in the trash,that’s…cool- no i think it’s just fits her more for some reason bro and her face when she cries when firefly (kind of) dead just hits ‘me’ more as well, just my opinion tho 😁
After we met acheron, I think she talked directly to the player and not just the mc, and when she mentions that she's seen the same encounter with diffirent answers she was referring to every other player that has chosen both male and female mc, wich means that at one point we'll come across out female counterpart, or even Another player mihoyo, I'm writing your script for free😂
given how at the very beginning, Kafka had to choose which vessel to place the Stellaron into, it's implied they had two vessels and she chose whichever one we tell her to choose. That implies that both Caelus and Stelle exist, but we only play as and have knowledge of the one we chose. I assume the other is a stellaron hunter.
I kinda agree to your theory, but I'm not sure if they would actually make a mistake like that if they are planning on using that scene in the actual game.
@@magicalswordsman5838I don't think its a mistake. I think they were trying to represent both of the main characters because not everyone picked Caelus, and not everyone picked Stelle. They are both the exact same person afterall. As a side note, there's no such thing as "Caelus is better", "Stelle is better". They're both the exact same person. I say this because Stelle gets all the fame, overshadowing Caelus, making him kinda underrated in comparison. But they're the exact same person.
This actually makes sense as Acheron said she felt MC answered her question with multiple different answers at once Meaning that both gender of MC (and all players) are in different multiverse, so both Caelus and Stelle are canon.
Why's no one talking about the fact that this is the exact same pose as the one stelle did in the trash can great tatalov video? This might be a animation mistake or be intentional 😅
because these clowns want to pretend that each trailer is entirely tailor made and different and doesnt reuse assets so they can pretend the trailers have more product value than Genshins for SOME weird Civil War reason
The way that people thinks she is the mc just because she is shown in 2 frames and chose to ignore the other 99% of the video is amusing lmao (both are mc)
Well to be fair they seem to use her as the default when rigging Animation. Since her hair is more animated this needs more work. Then they just overlay ceallus overit. It's the reverse of the genshin Situation. Or so I heard
I think there's a "dream" area when they showcase the map in livestream, imagine we can be the other mc while exploring that area, it's gonna be so cool
actually Penacony is all a dream, the way to acess it, it's by staying at an hotel in space called "The Reverie". The Reverie transports you to the land of dreams, Penacony is one of the places in the land of dreams
Well, I'm glad Stelle got to be somewhat in the 2.0 trailer. Couldn't have killed them to split up the MC appearances 50/50. Maybe Stelle will get the 3.0 trailer, but who knows. Star Rail's been better so far eith their marketing to show that there's an actual MC choice in marketing unlike Genshin. RIP Lumine MC in official marketing.
It's called saving money & storage space for the one take since most people won't notice... it's not that deep, this has happened in Genshin... especially for Pre-rendered not in-game engine cutscenes. Same for Mihoyo refusing to make the old defaults for Amber, Jean, Mona & Rosaria as part of the CG pre-rendered cutscenes... or depending on what you have wearing for them. They will not spend the budget... even though they said they aren't replacing the outfits, but canonically they are... because CN don't have the old outfits anymore, and won't make two different cutscenes.. they'll just cut corners where they can. It's simple. This isn't a mistake.
This could be a reference to the memory that Dr. Edward gives us where we get to choose a character’s voice to hear. One of the options is the other MC, so it could be a reference to that.
I’m almost positive there are few unfinished bit of dialogue and cutscenes with the Male MC in general, during the Museum event there was a cutscene where my Male MC showed up as the female MC in a cutscene, and during Penacony Sampo referred to my character as she (despite the subtitles reading he). Just small mistakes that got by quality control I guess
Iirc just like genshin impact, in the lore the two of them despite being separate entities are the exact same person Although this is just a theory. A game theory!
And it Fits that Stelle's Star Rail Main MC, since the Honkai Series has always been a Playable Female Character Only until Star Rail comes in to the party. Tho APHO Game Mode in Hi3 does have a Male MC, and Its before Star Rail's Release.
Idk why but I have one question: "I see in the ads that always appeared in any apps including RU-vid that Stele was the one who always been shown in Star Rail ads?" I just wondering why her? Nevermind
I love them using both protagonists on trailers. I do believe Stelle was animated first to avoid panty shots before they switch it to Caelus. This isn't the first time they made a frame error. My favorite thing about opposite gender protagonist is when both are in the story. Pokemon, Astral Chain, and Genshin's whole plot is to find the other character. Caelus and Stelle's only hints they exist in the story together is Herta's splash art and the gender selection.
