1. Ensure your BSN is from an accredited program. A Master is not required to apply. 2. Keeping good grades is one aspect of a good candidate. 3. Critical care experience. Being a leader via being on committees, volunteering, mentoring/preceptorship, attending conferences 5. Job shadowing. Check school for required hours. Provides insight on the career path of a CRNA and becoming familiar with case types. 6. CCRN and/or GRE 7. Grad Level courses when needed such as Advanced Level Patho 8. Prepare for your interview
How do I know my GPA. I did my BSN from India in 2000. I have to send the transcript to the university when applying for CRNA program to know the GPA Other than that how will I know my GPA before applying
Hi there! There's a few things you can do from retaking courses to taking grad level courses; resume boosters like the CCRN and GRE as well as shadowing experience, leadership roles and more will also help! There are also programs that look at just the last 60 credit hours. For stories of how people overcame low GPA, watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TJLFeLK4hu8.html Before you retake any courses, watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1bhXI_oIjVU.html You can do this-- we're cheering you on! Thank you for tuning in!
Hello, I really wanted to earn my BSN abroad and then come back to work in the United States however, do you think that this will cause problems when trying to get into crna school because of the accreditation?
There are ways to have international GPAs converted to US equivalents, but not all programs will accept them. Your best bet is to reach out to your desired program(s) and ask them specifically. Hope this helps, and thank you for tuning in!!
i am 42 years old and i have work in a lab as a phlebotomist for 18 years 😵💫i’m going back to school this coming semester and since it’s been a while since I was in school i lost all of my credits as a matter of fact i need to take the TSI but nothing is going to stop me it took years to find where my heart belongs and is definitely this. You might think i’m too old but even if i only do it for 5 years i will do it and i hope you still have your channel so i can tell you … “ I did it”🎉 thank you for the guidance and encouragement ❤
